Session 13: Call to Action Report

General Summary

Recap:

  1. Noppa begins to wake up the party while they're under attack.
  2. The disoriented party begin to collect what they can, and make their way to the western half of the manor. The aarakocra continue to circle the manor, attacking anyone that steps outside.
  3. Everyone rushes to the basement, seeking to deny the aarakocra their aerial advantage, and wait for the aarakocra's next move.
  4. The manor is mostly trashed, and one of the assailant leaders calls out to the party, wanting to know their purpose here and who the leader of this place is.
  5. Talking doesn't go over well, and a fight breaks out shortly after where Wren is almost taken away, and the raiders are defeated; two of them managing to flee however.
  6. The party finally rests, and in the morning Celrin seeks to repaid a debt, with Eleonora tagging along in the interest of purchasing repairs for the house.
  7. Before Celrin reaches Oelrich's manor, she's confronted by her superior, Adelina, who tells her that she is to be returned to Trinum unless she can demonstrate progress directly.
  8. Celrin leaves to the manor with her superior and Eleonora, and when they arrive, Oelrich is keen on having her debt repaid with interest.
  9. Celrin repays the gold, but is visibly in a tight spot when her superior presses the matter of the trade agreement. Baron Oelrich agrees to a tentative trade agreement, but it's very clear that Celrin is still in Oelrich's debt.
  10. Adelina leaves, seemingly satisfied (or entertained), and the ordeal is handled for now.
  11. Noppa and Wren research their previous attackers, finding out they were scouts from an invading nation known as the Capris Armada. It's strange that they've traveled this far east, but it's a bad sign that they're growing bolder in their presence.
  12. After a couple of days, Jhin returns from his trip to Secrix, where he offers the party one of two missions: Traveling to Secrix Castle to supplant the new king in the interest of Northal, or establishing a meeting with the famed Wizard of the Lake and attempt to legitimize the Kingdom of Northal with the assistance of one of Jhin's contacts in the city of Fortudo.
  13. After some consideration, the party decided on the latter, passing by Secrix Castle on the way.
