Session 9: Amid the Nobility Report

General Summary

Recap:

1. The party returned, bruised and battered from their confrontation with Jan, and went to the castle to deliver his body.
2. At the castle, they saw Jhin and Baron Oelrich finishing a conversation, and after Baron Oelrich left, they delivered Jan's body, and were patched up at the castle.
3. Before the party left, Jhin mentioned to them that there was an event being hosted at the Oelrich Estate, and that they should take a break and go have fun.
4. The party then returned home and rested for the night.
5. The following morning, one of Celrin's previous inmates, Demonia, asked after someone matching the description of Celrin's prisoner in the basement, and after Demonia caught on, she demanded to see her.
6. Svenja admitted to the two being partners, and Celrin let Demonia take Svenja back away from the manor; with Demonia muttering something.
7. Over the next few days, lighting was bought for the house, Wren and Eleonora bought dresses, and clear renovations were made the Northal Castle's church.
8. At the day of the party, everyone took a boat over to the Oelrich Estate, and participated in the event, some more reluctantly than others.
9. Celrin and Nora were wallflowers, Eleonora spoke to her mother (and her friend), Noppa got laid, Rainer got not so laid (and harassed), and Wren went to the library to read books. Typical.
10. At some point during the night, the party was interrupted by the sounds of rumbling, and with a quick glance outside, it seemed as though Jhin's castle was being bombarded by ballista fire.
11. The party left the estate, and began to make their way to the castle in the hopes of saving Jhin and Meta before it's too late.

• Rainer for a very thoughtful character discussion/roleplay moment out of game

  400gp (for each party member) as a reward for killing Jan the Wretch, and finishing off the last of the Bloaters.
