Session 3: Journey to the Outers Report

General Summary

At Tobo Izakaya after a short rest you were ready to head out to find the Sewer who lives atop the Grand Karst. After speaking to a drunk and still distressed Inu-Gao you scouted the area from the top floor of the Izakaya to see if any guards were still looking for you after you previously duped them. Three guards were still hanging around but Gundyr managed to distract them away from the Izakaya by creating an illusion of voices shouting profanity at them. You decided to sneak around the houses near the Izakaya to avoid detection and as you did, came across what appeared to be an injured child asking if you could help pay for his injury healing, you gave the child 3 Gold Coins and he was most pleased, thanking you then hobbling off further into the estate. You soon arrived at the Grand Karst and made your way up its steep and winding steps until you arrived at a door at the top situated under two large Sakura trees. The door was decorated with foul smelling flowers and moss giving off an unpleasant look. Inu-Gao gave you two passwords to use to gain entry Nisehare and Nisemono, you used Nisemono and began to hear a clicking sound. Suddenly the steps beneath you began retracting into the ground creating a dangerous slide back down to the bottom of this enormous Karst. Majutsu and KenKen narrowly avoided death by landing in a protruding tree from the Karst and Drax and Gundyr managed to safely claw onto the Karst face and find there way to a small ledge. Through the use of rope and a carefully controlled slide you all made it back down to the bottom of the karst safely and attracted the attention of a group of poor, malnourished humans. You decided to use fog and run through the crowd but as you did you ran into three guards who would not allow you to pass, accusing you of beating a poor man within an inch of his life. After a tough battle you were victorious, knocking out 2 of the guards and possibly killing the other.   After the battle you decided to make a run for it but were surrounded by guards outnumbered two to one and were told that Lord Sazen requests your presence. With no choice you were escorted to the entrance of Takaiyamagun Castle, pushed to your knees and as the gates opened were presented with a medium sized human man decorated in Samurai armour and a slight smirk on his face.
