Session 9: Synin Report

General Summary

Grugnak awoke to Synin and began to scream confused as to what has just happened, guards came and Synin convinced them that he was Kenken just with his hood off. As Grugnak roused out of his trance he was angry that Synin had the sword, Synin offered him it and when he tried to take it he was shocked, he recoiled and said 'keep it'. Just then a scream was heard from outside a woman was saying she and her son were being poisoned, holding a bowl full of liquid. The party discovered it was tainted with blood not human in nature. Gorm arrived and tried to calm down the situation, Nox then tried to lighten up the situation with a Kenken tribute song, as he did so Gorm tried sneaking off into his tent.   Majutsu followed a guard to the village Well, he spent some time investigating it, he found out that the majority of the guards don't even have basic weapons training and it's just for show. With his familiar he discovered that the Well was tainted from it's source and had not been tampered with by someone in the village.   At this time Synin and Gundyr began following Gorm and whilst Nox was performing he noticed the woman who said she was being poisoned following afterwards with a knife. Gundyr and Synin followed Gorm into his tent and noticed he was drinking an alcoholic liquid, they questioned why he wasn't addressing the villages problem and Gorm broke down telling them he doesn't know what he is doing, can't handle the pressure of leadership, he is barely holding it together and doesn't have experienced men to fix the well.   Whilst Gundyr and Synin were in the tent Nox tailed off his musical tale and followed the women with the knife he saw her go into the back of Gorm's tent and went after her, as he went in he just stopped her from stabbing Gorm. She was angry that he was allowing the disguised Kekkan (men in white robes) to poison them, Majutsu arrived and proved the woman wrong.   The party agreed to help the village with the tainted Well issue and the people wanted them to go as soon as possible, when the party said no it's getting dark and it's too dangerous the village people complained but Synin put them in their place. The woman who originally alerted the party to the problem asked Synin if he would go as soon as Dawn broke, he agreed and told the party to set off at Dawn.   Gorm told the party that Tinka is the only one who could fix the well pipeline if it's damaged, Tinka agreed to go, excited to go an adventure at his age.
