Session 3

General Summary

As the wounded Tymora's Whim , makes her way back to Port the crew finds little rest. In the dead of night, Achilles is visited by the Old Man , tempting with answers and promising power. Achilles falters and submits to temptation but is saved by Divine intervention. In the night, Nim hears the voice of the Moon in her mind through her new circlet, the profound sadness and loss move her to try to befriend the distraught celestial body. Although saved from the black blades cure by the captain, Thokk is deeply troubled by nightmares and visions, unsure of their meanings. As the dawn breaks, the crew continues sailing until they come upon a peculiar shipwreck. Completely destroyed, but without a single trace of crew or their attackers. A few provisions were salvaged. While up in the crow's nest, Nim notices a figure retreating below the waters away from the crew. At day's end, the Whim makes port, but with the Fog already settled in town the crew remains onboard until morning, mostly. Thokk ventured out in the mists to return to Nancy's Harbor Tavern but was ambushed by a lone dwarf. After dispatching his would-be assassin, he discovered a signet ring on the body. Trying to discover the importance behind it he asked the locals to no avail, after making little progress he returned to the ship. Early in the morning, the empire (not vampire) soldiers arrived to take the prisoners into custody from the brig. After receiving their commission scripts for their rewards, the crew was informed that the Whim would be in repair and wouldn't sail for a week. Taking the opportunity to explore the town, the commissioners finally make their way to the East Sea Manor to receive their compensation, along with gold, each was given an Empire Mark, a coin signifying a favor from the Empiress herself. Caoimhe not wanting to stay for the execution returns to the Mollusca Mater finds that her home had been victim to an unsuccessful burglary. Those who watched Agrier's execution waited with anticipation. After the beheading of the lesser captives, Achilles spots a shadowy figure on the Manor's roof just before one of Agrier's bindings snapps. Chaos insues and the grand Currier stabs Agrier through the heart killing him. As the crowd and chaos subside, the commissioners decide on what to do next.
