3.04 - A Friendly new Face.
General Summary
The Bad Ideas have a new 'friend'. They also have a new enemy. The battle with the ShadowKi is underway. Tol is dying. Zizkek is close to death. The darkness shrouds them from their friends who are trying to help them. Nothing is going as planned. Faezyre finds Tol, with Liam in tow, just as Tol attempts his forth death save. The first stabilizes him while the latter heals him. Tol is quickly rushed from the brink of death to near full heath, made moreso by the addition of AAlan and his magic finger in the butt. Zizkek awakes from his dream to vision of a ShadowKi standing over him. He manages to get off a thunderwave and backs away into the shadows. But not far enough, as the assassin embeds his blades into the small goblin. Zizkek calls out for help. Tol knows where he is through a clever use of Sy, his rat familiar. AALan finds the Vike through direction from Tol and employs his tried and true healing stylings Meanwhile Eldrick is in battle with another assassin. His blades cut through the cloth of the creature, setting two items to the ground to be found later. This assassin, seemingly disinterested in a fair fight, vanishes. As do the rest. The party All of this is witnessed, at least through sound, but a newly arriving Eilith, acolyte from the Invisible Hand. Eilith was send by the guild to investigate a frozen body and has tracked Detective Ryder to this alleyway. Now that the combat is over, Nick is still beset by 'bad dreams'. AALan tries to use protection from poision but Nick is too far gone. he then gives him a wet willy of Dispelling, and the magical dream is disbanded. Nick seems appreciative and appologizes for his previous distance. Says they need to talk. Eldrick finds the body of Willy, likely killed before the ambush. Faezyre find two items that will prove to be clues to the mystery. The first is a coin of some kind, empowered with a small neon glyph of an Ace from a plyaing card deck. The second is a strange note sewn into the cloth left by the ShadowKi. This note is written in an Earth Asian language and is a shipping schedule for someplace called Duskport. Nick suggests the party follow him back to his place where they can talk. The group instead says they have a place to be and head to the market to meet Francis Fav'r Bean At the market, Frank, the Spindal Merchant ( a race of timetraveling beings from Night Beyond Sky) offers an exchange of goods for services. He accuses the Traskins of being racist against him and his requests for a shop license. He asks for their help in the matter. Tol suggests they might have a shop that needs a keeper. Delighted at the possibility, Francis offers a PDA to Tol. The PDA is bio-registered to Tol, but strangely it doesn't clear itself completely and still has information from the previous owner.

The ShadowKi assassin is not human. They appear as a humanoid shells made of silk. You know that the interior of their cloth has Earth Asian writing stitched into it.
Notes
The Spindal are a race of intelligent human arachnids who claim to be able to move forward and backward in time to gather items. The items that Francis has are from a period of Earth History/Future where humanity has become reliant on technology. To most of the party, this technology would seem very advanced. To anyone from Unbroken or Night beyond Sky, such as AALan, this tech is ancient earth artifacts. Franks assertions that he went 'into the distant future' is a relative statement based on the perspective.
