Darkness is gathering in the Amaranth Sea, isles, coast and even the inland are going through a time of poverty, disease, crime and corruption. The current winter is proving to be the worst and strongest to have ever assaulted this region. The first warm winds of spring are the symbol of hope that is deeply awaited by everyone as they are needed to save the remaining crops. The Xiraph Archipelago, the Free-folk from the City-States of Stormport and port towns like Saltmarsh and even the great Kingdom of Greyhawk to the south, all fear a grim future. But it is amidst darkness that the shiniest of lights break through, and now more than ever is the time for heroes to rise.
