Session 9 Report

General Summary

Followed Lady Umber out of the funeral back to her home. Yemi snuck into the manor house through a back window, and uncovered several documents in an upstairs office, which he took. While he was exploring upstairs, Ava, Nedda, Zita, and Zeno approached the front door of the home and came to ‘offer their condolences’ to Lady Umber, while Huggar stayed outside keeping watch. The infiltrators were led into a sitting room. Zita and Zeno attempted to scout the home, but discovered that all the doors to the room had been locked. The group decided to escape out the windows of the room, and took off to the market district before returning to the tavern where they were staying. Yemi attempted to get into the house and was met by Lady Umber and three armed guards. He introduced himself. He left, as she shut the door in his face. Yemi overheard the maid ask about informing the guard, but Lady Umber had more important matters that night before returning to the Tavern. The group returned to Lady Umber's manor and kept watch, eventually following Lady Umber and several cloaked figures up to the Rael Mines. Within a secret chamber in the mines they overheard a group of people arguing loudly. Several nobles were fighting over whether or not to continue a plan to cause problems with Lemor. Gabrial Moreno stood up to declare that, following the death of Rilsa Rael, who was not supposed to be involved or even aware of this plot, House Rael would be withdrawing their support. Several other Lords echoed the call to step away. The party interrupted the conversation, and accused Lady Umber of tricking Rilsa Rael and the assembled Lords for her own purpose. A fight ensued, where the withdrawing Lords and Ladies escaped, and those supporting Lady Umber fought. When things looked grim for her, Lady Umber magically jumped out of sight and dissapeared. Her supporters attempted to run, but two of them were taken prisoner.
