S30 1142 GDC Haciathra into Dilya, the 13th day of Zummaer Report

General Summary

A second demonic entity has been defeated but a portal to a hellish land remains open. The party devise ways to safely close the portal and set up camp to assure the process is done. Breckman and Arlo focus on the ritual, which takes them deep into the night. Before morning, the rest of the party escort a tired Arlo and Breckman to bed and partake in investigations of their own. Tarian, with enough resolve to finally speak to his father, guides Moon, Raven, and Tam to his master study, guarded by two of the elite Sylhorn guard. Guardsmen Lockoth and Noah, have strict instructions to let none pass, including Logan Sylhorn's son, Tarian. After failed attempts to persuade the guardsmen, the party resolves themselves to light breaking and entering, which Tarian justifies as legal while within one's own house. They are greeted to an overturned study with Lord Sylhorn missing and documents burned. Furious, Tarian and company burst out of the study and force the guardsmen's hand in speaking to their superior. However, after meeting with Emiladwin, Tarian's distraught mother who was aware of the study's condition, the arrival of the lord of the estate and elite guard are shocking to say the least.
