After a small wait they are taken to be sized for the coffins by a Halfling. When they arrive they shown to their trainers. The half-orc that arranged this, her name is Magha. 6th of Haelynir 1545 HC

In the early hours of the morning, Jamal and Brin make their way to the inn. They get some rest during the morning session Ana and Margaret hang out around the inn. Margaret notices the Scorched Hand in the common area.
As the afternoon section begin, Jamal and Brin concluding their rest, Margaret sees the Four Lanturns and Ubek enter the inn. Brin comes down to a call of "ku-ku-ku-ku-ku!" from the Lanterns which surprises Ubek who nearly knocks over a table. The two adventuring groups have lunch together and chat.   Brin regales them with the tale of their first adventure in the necropolis. They talk about the priests buying items off them and not really getting a say on being able to keep anything really cool they found.   Margaret arranges with Ubek and Jamal for him to get the free room at the inn.
In the evening Brin and Jamal head off to training. Margaret gets some supplies to make some healing potions. Ana gets some rest. Brin wins his fight after training. Jamal loses his. Brin checks in about getting items in and out of the necropolis.

7th of Haelynir 1545 HC

In the morning, Brin and Jamal rest while Margaret focuses on making her potion. Ana and Ubek do some morning exercises.
In the afternoon Ana goes out to look for a library or book store in town. There aren't really any libraries here. She buys a few books and upon her return she has dinner with Ubek, telling him about their last adventure into the necropolis. Ubek does his best to tell Ana about their time in the necropolis, but due to being blind. He sees in a different way but only up to a certain distance around him.
During training Brin tries to chase up Mahga's contact but they're unavailable. This annoys Brin and he brings up the time of the lottery, which doesn't change facts. Later, Brin has a flawless victory for his fight. As Jamal fights, he's disarmed and loses his weapon. He swipes at his opponent and draws blood. He looks down at his bloody hand as he's declared the winner.   Brin and Jamal discuss how sharp his nails have become lately.

8th of Haelynir 1545 HC

Brin and Jamal get some rest in the morning. Ana exercises before applying her makeup and doing her hair to look nice for the lottery. Margaret assist her. Ana and Margaret discuss their spell casting and a new book Ana's patron sent her. Ubek joins in for exercises.   Before heading off to the lottery drawing, the group discusses and agrees to offer Ubek to join them for this assignment as a trial run. They also discuss how to make their time on stage more theatrical for Ana to draw attention to their guild. Afterwards they head to the drawing.
The group arrives at the ceremony. There is food and mingling before the lottery takes place.   High Priestess Sebti addresses the crowd and the groups are invited back to the stage, minus the Sand Scorpions. Margaret subtly casts Detect Thoughts to read the mind of the high priestess. Ana is the first one to go up. Ana conjures the anvil image in her hand before standing and walking up. When she gets on the stage she lifts her hand up so everyone can see the anvil and mines striking it, producing red and gold sparks.   Margaret gets:
  • Good to see so many return. Need a good batch to get through to the end.
  • Where is Adara? She said she would be here, but I don't see her.
  • The Amethyst Dragons - Looks like they didn't get the recruits they wanted between draws.
  • Chundren's Champions - Ah. I see they took on one of the Sand Scorpions.
  • Cryptfinders - These fools. Wonder if they'll fighter another 'mummy'
  • Daughters of the Desert - This should be a nice challenge for them. Doing very well. Might find work for them after this.
  • Flickering Four - They had a close call last time. Hope they've figured their shit out.
  • The Four Lanterns - They still seem cheery. Hope they find more good items for us.
  • Scorched Hand - Can't this bitch take a hint? She doesn't take a hint that she gets what she is given.
  • Sunrise Fellows - Our investigation on these four have turned up nothing but I'm sure they're up to something
Ana returns to the group, revealing they have received the House of Pentheru. Meanwhile Margaret goes to talk to the Sunrise Fellows. She meets Date Palm and invites him to come and see her tonight if they want to discuss negotiating tactics, which he does not and will not turn up.   The group decides to get a cart that Ubek can manage for them to save having to get one after the fact. Ana, Jamal and Brin heads off shopping for a pearl and Karl, Margaret and Ubek heads back to the inn.
Margaret and Ubek returns to the inn at 2pm. The rest of the group arrive at 3pm. Not long after Brin leaves to go to training for the night. Margaret and Ana stay downstairs while Ana is copying spells into her new book.
Brin trains but doesn't fight. He compensates the organisation for this and afterwards to get some rest in a normal manner for the night. He learns that the ghoul market is called that because of the ghouls that now live there. It was called the Gulla market when Wati was alive as a city.
Near the end of the two hours of copying, Margaret sees the bookish priest enter the inn. He asks for Jamal, and the girls summon him downstairs to meet this man. This man seems to be Jamal's contact inside the Khirdai temple as he starts to talk Jamal about some items the group picked up from their first assignment. Jamal redirects him to Margaret after subtly taking a note from the man and handing off another to Margaret.   The note explains:   Several scroll tubes holding papyrus records, private memos, expense ledgers, speeches, and private correspondence. Among the papers are discussions regarding the unfinished tomb of Akhentepi's mistress. Akhentepi's family seemed to have died in an accident many years before his death and were buried in the same area but not the same tomb. The temple doesn't want them.   Two books with thin, gold-plated metal sheets for pages. The first is a brief biography of Akhentepi, and the second is a list and description of the various military campaigns conducted by the nation of Masesia while Akhentepi was alive. The temple will pay 200 gold for them.   Margaret tries to bargin for access to the knowledge the temple of Khirdai has. It isn't successful as she uses Detect Thoughts to get some insight into the man. Though she sees that the man is worried about Margaret getting herself killed and Jamal should get his people under control. Margaret calls out the hypocrisy and his thoughts reveal he understands but can't do anything about it. Afterwards Jamal heads upstairs.   Margaret and Ana talk about Ana's new book from her patron.
At 9pm Brin returns. Margaret spots him, collects Ana and follows him to his room to talk as a group. Jamal takes this opportunity to give everyone 100 gold. Brin hands Margaret and Ana 50 gold a piece to pay them back.   Margaret shares that the temple might not have enough gold to pay for items from the necropolis. Margaret had gleamed this from her mind reading before with Jamal's contact. Margaret shares most of what she has gleamed today with this spell. She also shares about her dreams and what she has learned about the Red Kings and the mysterious killings in the area.   Everyone becomes self conscious about their thoughts. However, they do all turn in for the night and get a little bit of peace before their next assignment.

9th of Haelynir 1545 HC

The group is up early. Ubek is up and eager to prove himself in his little trial with the group. They go to the gate, get checked before heading inside with Ubek and the new cart. Brin takes lead, Jamal and Ubek follow with the cart, Margaret behind them and Ana at the back. As they get 20 minutes into their walk to their destination, Brin falls into a pit trap as the group are attacked by bandits.   The group works together to quickly deal with the threat. They take a moment to regain their composure and look everyone over. As they start to search the bodies, one of the bodies has a blood burst. It hits Ana, Margaret and Jamal. Jamal seems pained by this, grabbing his heart. They quickly check on one another before going back to searching the bodies.
  • They find a bag filled with dust of some sort.
  • He had a longsword and long bow with 10 arrows left.
  • A set of playing cards with some of the corners being bent.
  • 2 whistles
  • A double headed coin
  • 25 silver, 4 gold, 6 copper
Then they continue onwards. At 7am they arrive at their destination. Sandstone walls ten feet high enclose this estate, affording those who once lived inside some privacy. A two-story stone house is visible beyond the walls, adjoining the rear wall of the property. In the center of the estate's southern wall stands a pair of tarnished bronze gates hanging partially open. A pair of statues flanks the gate. Dusty hieroglyphs are carved into the wall at eye level to the left of the gate.   Luna is sent up to scout the property. There is a U shaped courtyard separated by walls around the house. To the West is a big bug. The East there is the sound of something moving in one of the side buildings. However the central area that the gate goes into looks okay. Margaret warns the group about more bugs as they head inside the courtyard. As they move inside powerful blows shake and rattle the gates.   Brin hears the sound of an angry mob can be heard outside the walls. A woman's voice cries out in a language that you don't know, but yet understand, "Hold the gates! Don't let them inside the compound!" as the gate shakes.   The owl flies away and over the house while Jamal runs for the Eastern gate, throwing it open as he rams it with his shoulder and keeps running. They're overtaken by fear. Margaret snaps her fingers and Luna disappears into her extraplanar nest. Jamal is not so easily stopped as the group chase after him. Brin gears up to run but as he takes his first step he cuts the axe through the air to open a wormhole 30 ft ahead of him, in an effort to move, dash and warp to catch Jamal. However, Jamal is a little more athletic then Brin thought as he gets away. Only to be jumped on and attacked by a large two-headed canine. Jamal screams and is calling out in a language no one speaks.   The group quickly jumps into action. Ana fires off her Eldritch Blast, Brin attacks with his axe to try and get this beast off Jamal. A huge snake slithers out from underneath the table to attack Brin, but misses as Ubek runs in to attack the snake with his rapier. Jamal runs, the dog biting him and badly wounds him as he limps away. Margaret runs in a little late and a soft glow emanates from her staff, settling onto herself, Brin, and Ana as she casts Bless on the group.   The dog turns it's attention on Brin, but can't manage to bite him with either one of his heads. Ana holds a hand out toward Jamal and her eyes glow as she heals him, but sending her Eldritch Blast towards the dog again. Brin continues to focus on the dog, but with the faces snapping him he find it hard to hit it without getting bitten. The snake and Ubek are doing a similar dance with neither of them hitting one another. He runs into the corner of the courtyard and a bug drops on top of him. Jamal just having the worst day.   Margaret kills the dog with some scared moonlight and tells Brin to go and help Jamal. Ana changes her focus to the snake. Brin moves quickly and gracefully across the courtyard as if pushed by the wind itself. The insect is trying to bite Jamal, as Jamal flails and slashes at the bug on his head. Looks to be another solifugid. The snake grabs Ubek and squeezes him in the most uncomfortable hug. Ubek is quick to escape and drink a potion to try and stay on his feet. Ana helps with a bit of healing and attacking the snake with her magic. Margaret tries to help but misses with her magic.   Brin splats the bug on Jamal's head which seems to break him out of whatever fear had taken him over. He is very confused and seems unaware of the fight and what happened over the last few minutes. The snake downs Ubek and Margaret is able to be more success with her magic since the creature is distracted with a possible meal. Ana heals Ubek to bring him back to consciousness as she continues to fire on the snake.   Brin tells Jamal where they are and that Ubek is in trouble before he runs back towards the fight. The snake turns to attack Brin as he returns but misses. Ubek gets up but is too disorientated to try and hit the creature. Jamal is suddenly more aware of the danger and casts his magic as to hurt the snake as he runs towards the fight. Margaret and Ana are unable to make an impact with their magic. Brin shows the ladies how it's done as he hacks at the snake. The snake retaliates by giving Brin on of it's very friendly hugs. Jamal runs up with scimitar drawn. He runs a hand over it, glowing a soft silver light. Then strikes at the asp, slaying it.   Jamal immediately apologises for what happened, sensing this danger was his fault. It is explained to him what happened and what Brin heard at the gates. They agree that this place is likely haunted and will be something they have to be mindful of. The group stops to rest for a while. Ana gives Jamal her alchemy jug so he can wash his head off during the rests.   Margaret will ritually cast Comprehend Languages and looks around as the group rests. On the outside of the gate it says "House of Pentheru". The lower and middle eastern hut where the dog came out of is a small, one-room structure is devoid of features, save the ruined remains of furniture that have all but disintegrated with the passage of time. The last one is also similar but there are skeletal remains in here. The top left open area is a small room is empty save for dust, debris, and empty shelves built into the walls. There is a door that leads into the house. There is another door slightly south of that one. Then a final door near the snakes dead body. Only one hut has a door which is the top centre of the courtyard.   Margaret shares what she has found with the group. The group decides to check out the well first. They check it out, but find it is just an old well that has long since gone dry. Afterwards they head to the far building with the skeletons, which get up and start moving as the group enters. The group quickly takes care of them, but Ubek does fall once again with Jamal getting him back up. With the threats taken care of, they search the three eastern huts. Brin finds 7 gp, 3 sp, and 12 cp, and a turquoise earring.   They then focus on the hut with the door. As Brin opens the door a swarm of beetles come out and attack him. This threat is quickly taken care of. They look inside for find three skeletons, that don't get up. There is a strange green metal flail in there with them. They take the flail and put it in the cart. Ana looks over the bodies and would say that they died in the last 10-20 years. Their flesh being eaten by the bugs makes it hard to say.   The group then heads to the Western section of the courtyard. The western side of the estate forms an L-shaped yard mostly given to sand, sun-dried earth, and the ancient husks of dead trees. Stone benches line the walls of the yard, and a large tiled pool sits in the southwest corner, dried and partially filled with sand. Brin and Luna see a huge bug with many legs hiding in the sand of the tried up pool area up ahead. The group prepares themselves and attacks the bug from afar. They kill it before it can even reach them.   Moving up you see more of the courtyard. A short flight of steps leads between a pair of pillars to a set of stone doors in the west side of the house. At the north end of the yard stands a squat stone building with columns at every corner. Margaret and Ana search the sand pool to find:
  • One leather armor (destroyed).
  • There are 95 copper, 103 silver and 51 gold coins.
  • And a bunch of bones.
The group goes to the crypt at the end of the courtyard. After checking over the doors, they head inside and down the steps. A stone altar sits upon a raised stone platform in the centre of this square room. Caryatid columns carved in the likenesses of male and female figures with their arms crossed over their chests and khopeshes or ankhs in their hands stand at each corner of the platform. Empty torch holders are built in all four of the room's corners. Two stairways exit the room one climbs to the south (where you are coming from), while the other descends from this chamber to the north.   Ana hears movement around the bottom right corner of the room. A creature covered in bandages attacks Ana as she peeks around the corner. The group attacks the creature and find it surprisingly sticky. Brin's fist and Ana's staff get stuck to the creature. Brin is able to unstick his hand but the staff is a lost cause.   They gave the room a once over. The altar, that has Masela symbols on it looks like it has seen better days. It is covered in scratches, dried blood and finger nail marks. There is also a strange stickiness to the top where it is likely that creature would lay for hours on end. Afterwards they head downwards on the stairs.   The group walks down to the bottom of the stairs to another chamber. The air in this chamber is cool. The walls and ceilings are tiled with stone, but the floor is hard-packed earth, giving the area an unfinished quality. A long stone table rests against the western wall, flanked by two large brass urns. A passage leads north and east. Margaret checks out the urns but finds them empty.   It's a small space with a east and west exit. The west looks like natural cavern and the east looks like the passageway they just came through. After ensuring it doesn't go anyway, they head to the West area. An earthy scent fills this large chamber. The ceiling and walls are tiled with stone, but the ground is bare earth. Stone benches are set against the east and west walls, and torch holders are mounted in the corners and on either side of a wide doorway to the west. The beginnings of several shallow, rough passages have been started along the eastern wall and in the southwest corner, but the excavations are incomplete, ending in earth and rubble after only a few feet. At the south end of the room, a short, wide flight of steps descends to a set of stone double doors. As Margaret approaches the Southern area of the room, a swarm of strange looking cats attack!   The group quickly take care of the cats. They continue to the South. A stone sarcophagus rests atop a stone platform occupying the southern end of this room. The lid of the sarcophagus bears the likeness of a man and is inlaid with gemstones and trimmed in gold. Two lacquered benches run parallel to the east and west walls just north of the platform. Hieroglyphs line the walls of the chamber, and stone torch holders are set in all four corners.   Margaret attempts to copy the hieroglyphs on the wall, but they're pretty bad. They check over the room and inside the sarcophagus. Brin and Jamal open the sarcophagus. As they do Margaret Ana see ghost cats spring out of the sarcophagus and run at them. The pair is consumed with fear. However, thanks to her stuffed owl, Margert overcomes the fear and the vision fades.   A short chase happens before Brin can get a hold of Ana and give her Margert's toy. This helps her overcome her fear. After taking a moment, they go back to the sarcophagus. Inside there is a mummified cat with arcane symbols on it, gold funerary mask, and a gold-and-turquoise scarab pendent. Margaret takes time to ritually cast detect magic and idenitify. Meanwhile Brin carefully removes the gems from the sarcophagus with Ana's help.   The strange cat is magical with necromancy magic.   Mummified Guardian   This mummified house cat—dried, filled with sand, and bound in linen wrappings— appears to be nothing more than a family pet buried alongside its deceased master. Far more than a mere pet, however, a mummified guardian protects and preserves the corpse it is interred with and acts as a guardian against grave robbers and looters, potentially driving such trespassers toward more dangerous defenders or traps. When placed inside a sarcophagus or coffin alongside a dead body and activated, a mummified guardian also infuses the corpse with positive energy, preventing the body from being turned into an undead creature, as sanctify corpse. In addition, the mummified guardian also creates a magical ward around the sarcophagus containing it. If the sarcophagus is opened after the mummified guardian is placed inside, any creature with 5 Hit Dice or fewer within 20 feet of the open sarcophagus is overcome by a feeling of dread and must succeed at a DC 13 Will save or be frightened for 3 rounds. On a successful save, a creature is instead shaken for 1 round. This ability functions only once. Once triggered, the mummified guardian retains only its sanctify corpse ability. If the sarcophagus containing the mummified guardian is placed in an area or room with multiple paths of egress, the owner may designate one general direction an affected target must take if it flees, as long as the chosen direction does not require the target to move any closer to the mummified guardian. After moving in the designated direction for 1 round, the target behaves as normal for the frightened condition for the remainder of the effect's duration. A mummified guardian must be placed inside a sarcophagus, coffin, or other enclosed container with a dead body to function. Although cats are most common, mummified guardians can be created from the mummified remains of other small animals as well.   Margaret tells the others about the item as they do gem surgery. When they're finished it is 9:30am. After a bit of discussion the group heads back towards to the surface. However, as they go up the stairs, they set off a trap that causes spears to come up through the steps. They carefully pull themselves off the spear. They regroup and decide to take a short rest.
At 10:45am, the group readies themselves and goes back to the front door. Brightly colored columns stand in the four corners of this foyer. Hieroglyphs cover the walls and tiled floors, obscured in places by piles of dust and sand. Open archways lead to the north, east, and west, while a set of stone double doors exit to the south. As Brin opens the door, three skeletons turn and look at him.   The group springs into combat. However, during combat another haunt occurs. When this haunt is triggered, the house's front doors slam closed, held fast by an unseen force. Jamal and Brin here a woman's voice (the same voice in the haunt in area B2) cries out in Ancient Masesian, "They're inside! Protect the family!" and another voice shouts," It's too late! Save yourselves!" Screams and the clash of arms fill the air. This locks Margaret and Ubek outside, and Brin is overcome by a strange fearful confusion. It is quickly resisted and thankfully he didn't hurt anyone. Margaret and Ubek go to a side door to enter the building.   Margaret and Ubek enter via the bath area. A large tiled pool sits in the center of this chamber, surrounded by sloping tiled floors. A few steps descend into the basin, which has accumulated a deep layer of sand on its bottom. Faded murals on the walls depict scenes of life along a river, with recurring themes of running water and aquatic life running through the artwork. In the northeast corner, a tarnished bronze spigot juts from the wall just above head level. Archways lead north and west, and a stone door stands in the eastern wall.   Afterwards, when the skeletons fall, the group discusses their options. Brin is very hesitant to move forward and wants to stop for the day. The group gives him healing and they continue on. They then decide to go North into the next room.   A tiled walkway surrounds a square patch of earth and sand in this high atrium. A balcony on the second floor overlooks the courtyard, and a square hole in the ceiling opens to the sky. Four columns in the corners of the atrium support the roof above, and the walls are decorated with symbols and hieroglyphs depicting animals, celestial creatures, and the sun and moon.   The group notices the sand is slightly odd. As Brin stops the group and points it out, the sand pile moves out the East door. The group decides to follow it. This new room is filled with hieroglyphs and images of fantastic beings cover the walls of this small room. A small stone shrine, dusty and thoroughly defaced, stands against the eastern wall. The sand heads South and they continue to follow.   It goes through a privy area. A stone privy is built into one wall of this tiny room, and a stone table with a basin stands against the other wall. A large mirror once hung above the table, but it was shattered ages ago. The floor is covered in broken glass and dead scarab beetles.   Meanwhile Margaret, Jamal and Ubek come in the other way to form a pincer. The sand becomes a figure. It forms a beautiful woman made of sand.
She asks why the group chases her and they talk. They ask to look around, and she does not mind if they don’t damage the house or take anything. The group asks a little about this history of what happened here. They learn:
  • The crypt below is unfinished because everyone died.
  • The plague of madness is the great terror that happened here.
  • Her name is Heshsharu.
  • The haunts are the result of great emotional distress upon a death. Like a curse on the hand. To resolve the haunts they need to appease the emotion that caused it.
  • To resolve the haunt at the front door, likely they would need to bury the dead.
The more the group insists the spirit cannot own the house and everything here belongs to them, which just angers her greatly to the point of revealing her true form. There were attempts to make an arrangement but the spirit could not seem to like the terms of this arrangement that was offered. She attempts to put the group to sleep, but any were immune to this type of magic which angered her even more.
After Margaret and Ubek are shaken awake and can join the fight, the group works well together to defeat this sand demon.   They go back and search the area that they first ran into Heshsharu. They find:
  • scale mail
  • light crossbow
  • five cold iron crossbow bolts
  • 10 regular crossbow bolts
  • a gold holy symbol (Sera)
  • 3 pp, and 37 gp.
They continue North to find an old dining room of sorts. They head East to a kitchen. Two stone tables sit against the western wall of this room, while a third occupies the southeastern corner. A small, square wooden butcher's block stands in the northeast corner, now almost collapsing under its own weight. A stone oven sits in the middle of the north wall. A humanoid skeleton lies beneath the northwestern table, surrounded by smashed crockery. A door to the east and an open doorway to the south exit the room.   Margaret is worried about the skeleton. However it is a normal skeleton. Ana blasts it and dislodges a rusty dagger from it's ribs. She picks up the dagger as the group theory crafts. Margaret looks in the oven to find a skull.   They head West, with Brin yelling loudly, heading into a more formal looking dining room, he notices the place setting. An enormous stone table, the marble top polished and smooth, runs parallel to the west wall of this large room. A much smaller stone table stands in the east side of the room. Splintered piles of dust and wood lie in the corners and along the walls, the only remains of chairs after untold years. A strong, fetid stench pervades the room. An open, sand-filled hallway lies to the south, while an open doorway leads east.   Brin's yelling wakes the skulls and they start to levitate.
The skulls belch acid, fire, cold and lighting at the group as the attack.   After the last skull falls, Ana is very excited to find silverware! Six silver goblets and six silver plates. One of the plates were damaged by Brin and will require repair. Brin is very tired, but the group convinces him at the very least to see this floor finished.   There is only one room left. A large staircase climbs to the second floor from this room. Sand and dust cover the floor, and painted columns stand in all but one of the corners. Pieces of broken wood, shattered pottery, and disintegrating fabric litter the room's perimeter.   They don’t find anything, so Margaret and Jamal ritually cast detect magic.   Jamal finds a silver anklet set with tiny gems and an ankh charm, a tarnished silver serving tray, and a small ornate vase, and a ring. Margaret looks over previous items to learn the scale mail and crossbow is magical.   When Jamal picks up the ring, he seems to zone out. Margaret pokes him with her staff. Then tries to knock it out his hand, but shortly after he comes round by himself. He explains he had a vision and now feels unwell. He looks unwell. Margaret is able to heal that. He watched a young couple discuss their engagement. The ring was lost and the groom to be had contracted the plague before they could flee the city.   They suspect the ring would need to be given to a couple who would be wed to remove the haunt. They agree that they can rest for the remainder of the day. They get down to the crypt at 11:30am.
The group spends time identifying things, reading the text in the crypt and transcribing, pricing items and relaxing.   Margaret learns:   This is the tomb of Pentheru the Younger, the only member of the family to be interred in the family crypt, where he has rested, undisturbed, for over 2 millennia. The hieroglyphs on the walls tell the story of Pentheru the Younger in Wati, starting with the elevation of his father Pentheru the Elder to nobility, his subsequent death, and Pentheru the Younger's inheritance of his father's title and lands. The story boasts of their prosperity and success as land managers, the justness with which the family lived their lives, and the care with which they treated their slaves and servants. The text calls upon the gods to smile upon Pentheru the Younger and bless him with a good and just life in the Great Beyond.   The group discusses the fact that one of the religious symbols they found was of Sera, a newer god, would mean that people have been here at some stage in more recent history then the rest of the house.   They identify items. +1 light crossbow, +1 Scale Male, The ring is a +1 ring of protection, but anyone touching it becomes sick with Mind Fever, which Jamal is. Margaret heals this for Jamal.   Margaret brings up Adara and wanting to meet her as the leader of the city. Adara is stopping investment of the arcane arts in the city. Margaret suspects there is a lot more going on then meets the eye. Especially with her visions about the moon. They discuss how to carefully ask around town to find allies.   They head to bed after setting up watches later in the evening.
