Session 13 A different Outcome Report

General Summary

Spade, Seth and Dojo have just emerge victorious in their battle against The Champion. As they started looting, Seth picks up one of the Champions weapons and suddenly sees the hilt of Ney-Enkimaru and he's standing where he was 10 minutes ago. He is visibly confused by the situation while the rest of the party simply tell him not to get nervous in the heat of combat. Once again Spade takes Seth and Dojo who blasts a hole in the ceiling all the way to the third floor, while Kayla takes the rest of the team down to the lower floors.   Seth see the same situation plays out except this time there's another figure; A gnome in worn robes surrounded by 4 skeletons and 2 zombies who tries to counter spell December's Shield but failed. The Swashbuckler knowing where this goes; looses an explosive arrow from his compound bow right into December; wounding him and destroying part of the Teleportation circle.   A chaotic fight ensues between the two sides. September wipes out the Gnome Necromancer's undead pack, Dojo falls down all the way to the ground floor fighting the Champion who manage to cut the Tiefling's Katana in half while Spade fights one on one against The Pride of the Frost. All the while the Gnome remains invisible and as soon as the opportunity arises, kills September with his shadowed Deathclaw. Seeing the turn of the tide; December makes a hasty retreat out a window. Diamond - who took over when Spade dropped below half health - barely saw where December was running to and with help from the Haste potion he drank at the start of the battle, was able to keep up with him. The Warforge Barbarian made two successful slashes only for the second to be blocked by December's Ice Clone Spell. To the Apostle's surprise; Diamond anticipated this and used his Lightning Cannon to blast a hole into his body, ending the mage's life. to possibly add insult to injury; Diamond began sticking his hand into the body and started ventriloquism until he saw a large moving castle rolling through the walls and distribute an army of undead. That's when he decided to run in. Dojo was doing poorly against the Champion whose Mystic powers nearly overwhelmed him until Seth snuck up behind him and cut off one the Mystic's arms off with his broken katana. Sensing the tide turning, Dojo used one last Lightning Breath to weaken him just enough to allow Seth and Echo Spade to cut him in half twice over.   With the battle won, Dojo and Seth took a minute to rest while Spade and Diamond talk with the Gnome who identifies himself as Snyde Grimlock, the leader of the Undead Legionaires. After a tense conversation on where the Gnome's allegiance was; Havoc squad was offered by Snyde a ride in his Predator Castle which the team didn't really have much of choice at that point as they were unnumbered. Kokrum, Raider War Chief to Snyde, found Spade's Tower Shield and discovered its property by having Brenna, Snyde's Shaman hit it only to be forced back by its magic. The captain reluctantly let him have it. After having his skeletons loot the castle, taking the bodies, and scoured the keep for information; they left in a seemingly random direction.   Snyde takes them on a tour of his home where his Undead is revealed to be sentient. The Necromancer tells them they are his family and when asked about if they all agreed to being kept alive, he honestly answers not all of them want to and sometimes it doesn't work out he wants it. Already uncomfortable as it is, the team becomes even more unsettled when they find that Snyde has been working merging Undead with machines.
