Session 21A - Blue Bloods Report

General Summary

Seth decides to visit the Princess of Mhusia in order to get allies in the fight against the Apostles. He brings along Prince and Milady; the latter as a way of getting her to relax much the her changrin and war council's amusement.    Arriving without issue, Prince took the initiative to ask for directions to the Citadel while simultaneously meeting a contact in the city who informs him to meet another contact in the city park. Arriving at the Citadel, they are greeted by the Princess's Handmaiden, Delylah. She escorts them to the castle gardens where the Princess Amelia was a conversation (A duel of swords to give insight into one another) with a noble who was later identified as Duke Brock who hailed from a province in the Principality of Agbaia that border the empire. After being recognised, The Duke wished to have a conversation with Prince and was easily disarmed thats to the latter's knowledge of Agbaian swordsmanship. They were all invited to the ball that was happening later that night - with Prince asked to perform - with Amelia granting a free tab at her favourite seamstress. A one on one conversation with Seth revealed that she cannot provide an army for him as that still fell under the jurisdiction of her father the Emperor. After some time getting proper attire, Prince went off to meet his contact, another Spy feinting as a musician. He tells him of a direct order from the Circle to eliminate the Emperor's Advisor who turns out to be April Slysilver, an Apostle. Seth brings Delylah and Milady to the harbour tavern where Kumo and his crew are drinking away before proceeding to bring them to the ball.    At the Ball, the group mingle around with Seth talking to Amelia about wanting to talk to her father. As soon as prince recognises April sitting next to the emperor, he begins to sow paranoia into Milady and hatching a plan to distract the crowd and lure April into a confrontation. Prince then use message to tell Seth to cause a distraction which the swashbuckler then proceeds to have a conversation with the emperor. Although cautious he accepts but due to the nature of Seth's sword, cuts his in half. believing that he was outmatched he insist that he fight his Houscarl who was formidable enough to keep up with a hasted Seth. he was still bested however as the tiefling sweeped him and singed his beard. As the emperor praises him for his swordsmanship April steps up behind him and whispers words only for the emperor to brush her off thanks to Prince timely performance of Counter Charm. Milady sneaks around to where she can be seen by April and on the bard's command; pretends to cast a spell to which Prince casts to create fireworks. April spots and begins moving towards. Milady falls back into the hedge as Prince and Seth move to follow but not before Seth tells Kumo to get the boys ready for a quick getaway.    A chase ensues as Prince runs through the Hedge only to get spotted by April. Using Temporal Shunt, he manages to counter April's Spell but she falls back just in time to charm Seth. Prince runs for cover and unfolds his portable hole just in time for Milady appear and hands her the Planar Lightning Cannon and tries to shoot April. The Apostle manage to get through the gate with Seth's help and commands him to take care of Prince. Milady and Prince split up with Milady going around trying to cut her off. Prince gives chase only to run into Seth who swift wound him grievously. He tries to hit him but with Seth being much faster dodges and cuts his Hunting Horn in half. With no  other way of defending himself; he uses vicious mockery to knock him out of charm.    They give chase once more just as April is running looking wounded away from a gun totting Milady. They chase her down to a small jetty where a small contingent of Apostle followers were waiting. A skirmish erupts but the Followers were no match for the group. April tries to charm her way out but gets a sword to the heart. Prince then does his Mantle of Shadow only for Maulnesh to see through and strangle him with his own shadow much to Seth and Milady's Horror.
