Session 21C - Stranger in a Homeland Report

General Summary

After trekking through the Cherizhian Mountains, Kayla and Dojo barely make it to the small town of Kusk where they get lodging and supplies before taking an Economics flight to Halinah. Here she and Dojo arrive at the Capital and began searching for an artificer to make her power armour. She meets Phineas Rubengear who recieves half payment to begin the construction not knowing that Kayla does not have enough money to pay for the full construction.    After negotiations, Kayla and Dojo begin trying to earn money for the payment. They do small jobs for a few days before they realise that they wont be able to make the amount they need on time. Kayla decides to find an odd job relating to Planar Ruins knowing that the lost technology was valuable and took a job from Talbot Whiznit, a Nyior Gnome Archeologist who moved the kingdom to the commonwealth in order to study Planar Tech freely. After verifying that the gnome was legit,  The little dragons are hired as bodyguards with payment after the job is complete. They travel to a Planar Ruin not far from Halinah in Talbot's modified motor wagon.   At the Ruins with a well hidden entrance, Talbot explains that he hasn't been able to get pass the second door for years, spending time studying what Dojo identifies as a garage. After a bit of tampering, Dojo enlarges and brute forces the inner doors but only just enough for the small folk to enter.    Upon entry the first chamber splits into three paths and the centre has a pedestal. They discover that the ruins are dusty and is unpowered so they split up to find a way to power it up. Kayla and Talbot run into a Gelatinous Cube which the Paladin Sorceress already identified as the Janitor locked behind one of the rooms. Not finding much due to lock doors, they head to a large chamber with several large prongs pointing in the middle. Dojo makes an educated guess on this somehow being an energy core but there's no energy. Kayla decides to try and magically power up the core with Storm Sphere and manages to restore power to the Ruins.
