Session 23: Dark Days Ahead Report

General Summary

The team find themselves up against a fallen angel who has thrown Alma back and encased Xander with him in a dark shield bubble. Snyde takes notices and moves into cover as Seth begins hearing his inner voice that tells him to harm his allies. Snyde and Ace shatter the barrier to see Xander fall to the ground and see the fallen angel. It dispels Snyde's Animated daggers before gliding towards him but it gets intercepted by Ace who teleport rams him to the ground. The fight appeared to be one sided until The angel stabs Ace with a Berserk dagger before seemingly teleporting. in the middle of all this Seth suffers psychic damage as he continues to refuse what his mind tells him to do. In a fit of desperation, he exploits his weakness and charms himself using his dagger as a reflection. He manages to stop the pain just as Snyde enchants him to dance the haka, preventing further damage to Alma who was unaware of his berserk state. Unaware to Snyde who casted Blink and went into the ethereal plane; he was ambushed by the Fallen Angel who had also used Blink. Seth, unable to help his friends, use vicious mockery to hurt whatever is inside his head. The tide was turned by Alma who used a series of Guiding Bolts to severely damage it until it burst into flames.   With the battle won, the party turns to Milady who had manage to extract whatever it was in the head of the Florist. As they were discussing on what to do next, A retinue of guards approached the shop and inquires on the status of the owner who they have not realise has died minutes ago. Seth manages to deceive the guards before the squad flies back to their room in the citadel. Seth opts to haste his way in and up and barely manages to make it to the room. The Group discuss they're next move along with whatever is inside Seth's head. Seth's comes to the conclusion that Milady may have a parasite as well. Before any more decisions can be made, they are called to the trial in the presence of the Emperor.   They win the case easily and head for the temple where Prince's body is kept. Alma explains the resurrection process; Three people would offer something and the priest conducting the ritual would send the offerings through the divine gates to ask a willing soul to return.  Ace, Snyde and Seth gave contributions offering and as the ritual takes place; the crystal used as part of the component burst into flames, immolating the body and setting the room a flames, blinding all those in the room. As their sight returned so did Prince along with a red horn frog who stumbles out of the temple looking for a smoke after his traumatic experience.
