Session 12 Party Crashing Report

General Summary

The party spends the next few weeks refurbishing the keep and other activities.   Spade has become a Baron and made a rousing speech of his battle against the Apostles; calling knights and peasants to fight alongside him. To solidify this; he's made his throne in the mouth of the dragon's head with old stormbreaker hanging overhead in the throne room. Seth helped built the Air Port above the keep that he named Broken Tooth Port and his family was the first to dock. He also found out more of his heritage; His family was once royalty and that Aruka's House use to serve his family until reduced them to what they are now. He has also taken Kumo and his crew under him as soon as he has a ship. Kayla helped refurbish the kitchen while getting to know Dojo and all things dragons.   Some time soon, Milady informs the team that August is in plain sight going to the Oberland Capital and back to his keep. They are also informed that an old enemy of theirs, Black Crow has been spotted near the borders of Cherezhia, thanks to her contact in the 1st Rangers Expeditionary Corps. Eager to settle the score; Seth decides to take the initiative and strike at one of the Apostles lieutenants. Milady counsels that since the enemy base is within Raider territory they will have go in a small team only. Thanks to Clint and Grey Shadow, they've secured a Beetle - a small utility aircraft that belongs to the Ranger Corps and Milady has modified it into a mini gunship for Seth to transport. Because Spade was busy with being a Baron; it was up to Seth to pick who was going with him.   Despite his inexperience; Seth chose Clint over Milady as his pilot as the latter still had her duties to Spade and the Keep. He naturally chose Kayla and the Planar Dragon Dojo as he was capable of reducing his size to Kayla's height. Aruka never gave Seth a choice as she was sworn to protect him at all times but Seth tricks her by saying that since Juri was his Twin; she is sworn to protect her as well to which she reluctantly agrees to. He asked Grey Shadow if wanted to come along. Although he was eager to redeem himself, the shinobi reminded Seth it was his decision to bring him along or not which he did. Milady also suggested Gorek Bloodjaw, A half orc Barbarian whose strength would balance out the team. He also went out of his way to find Knowledge Seeker who was seen in Hodichev. When questioned of his presence and the status of November; The Eldritch Knight vaguely responded that it wouldn't be an issue and he was simply here to gather knowledge as he always does. Seth hires him with a promise of 20 platinum and goading him by mentioning the Apostles. Knowledge Seeker agrees and heads for the keep. The last person Seth chose was Alma the War Cleric. With some great reluctantly the Swashbuckler asked her and she replied that she would honoured to fight by his side.   With the Beetle prepped and the supplies stowed. The team sets off to Cherezhia. A few days into their journey, they landed to refuel. Just as they were taking the sights of a new land, they witness two Rolling Keeps past them by doing battle with each other with one keep swiping victory over the other as their opposition burn break and crashed. Seeing that, they decided to camp for the night to avoid getting caught flying.   The next few days spent searching the vast mountains, Clint picks up what seems like a distress beacon. At Dojo's suggestion they follow it to a small opening in a mountain and discovered what looks like a Planar Vault. Dojo gets into the vault with ease by using the interface much to the surprise of the team. They become even more surprise when they pass a Gelatinous Cube which is the janitor, Dojo's ability to hack and his deduction that the place used to be a research facility. they become surprise even more when they hear Diamond's voice in the dock. 1 week previously, Diamond convinces Spade to ditch Baron duties and join Seth in killing the Apostles. They hitch a ride on the Alantra; with Mileena scrying on Seth to guide their path and Balrog flying in the given direction. In the week that passes, Diamond begins flirting with Juri much to Seth's chagrin. After locating the Apostle base with help from Nyli, they travelled and scout the area from a distance. The base sits in a valley between two mountains with walls on opposite sides in the entry. Several tents are pitched but Clint gave a rough count of more than 200 Cultist and possibly more inside the keep. Spade plans to attack from all sides and use the cover of night to surprise them. Spade and Dojo will attack from the north on the mountain side with Kayla and Knowledge Seeker attacking from the south in flight respectively. Clint with the Gunship will strafe the eastern side and drop off Juri, Gorek and Alma. Balrog and the Alantra will come in silently from the west with Seth, Mileena and Grey Shadow taking the west wall.    The plan is a success with minimum injury as they take the keep. After detecting magic and Divine Sense respectively, they split up with Spade, Dojo and Seth going up while the rest of the team go to the bottom.    Spade's team crashed onto the top floor and discovered September and December. The last figure threw September onto a circle that December was standing on and Spade attempted to shoot only to be block by December's spell. He then teleports; leaving the last figure, September's champion to deal with them.    Kayla's team had to get pass a strong mental presence that stunned Gorek and they were forced to leave him behind. In the central chamber they met Black Crow who was mutated by something. it was a close battle but they manage to defeat him.

Mathin and Seth wants to do a rerun of the Battle against September's champion. Q joins the game so I have to make some slight changes.
