Session 23: The Road ahead Report

General Summary

The party has gathered in the center of the village; planning their next move. Based on what the Ogre King told them, they suspect that the Ogre Duke maybe near the village of Red Tides. They made the decision to follow the road, heading towards the small hamlet of Fivestones with the possibility of heading towards the Weaver Family Homestead.   While on the road the party encounters Raustark the Alchemist and his bizarre potions. None of them purchase any of the potions although Voidheart does steal some.   After this encounter, the party comes across a travelling caravan, being guided by Tedbaldus Weaver, Tak's Cousin. Tak fills him in on the events in the WIlds and Tedbaldus says that he is going to advice the caravan to stop in Etera to make a plan.   Just before night falls the party spots smoke on the horizon from the hamlet of Fivestones. Pushing the horses they reach it and find a force of hobs and an Ogre Soldier. Tak gets closer and hears the Ogre Soldier asking about the Sanctuary of Sirnai. As Mika and Voidheart attempt to approach, they are incredibly loud, and a fight ensues. During the fight, Shei uses his magic which results in the deaths of a couple of innocent people; even though Tak specifically asked everyone to be careful of the people.   After the fight there are only 4 survivors, Kit and Kat the young children, Samil the bartender, and Tegra the dwarf blacksmith, they tell Tak that the hob shaman told the Ogre that they needed to report back to the Ogre DUke in the Tower.   Tak's knowledge of the area allows him to narrow down the tower to two in the area. One out to the west in the middle of a glade of trees that is mostly ruined. One closer to the main road that is still standing. At the bottom of the Ogre Soldier's boots Garuman finds the remains of red flowers.   The party, with the survivors in tow, head towards the Weaver Family Homestead. When they reach it, Tak punchs Shei, confronting him about his use of violence on the people.
