Session 24: A new home and some missing friends Report

General Summary

Mika and Voidheart are gone! One minute they are there and then the next they seem to have vanished in thin air. Tired and exhausted the rest of the gang continues down into the Weaver Family Homestead. The dozen buildings of the family holdings are nestled into a small grove of trees by the lake.   The party meets the Weaver family, Tak's lineage is the "ruling family". Aldvar Weaver, Tak's father, is a man of fifty-two winters, muscular with the weaver hawk nose. His salt and pepper hair is cut short and he has ritual burns on his arms from his past adventures.   The party settles into the homestead and gain bastions.   

Morning of the 34rd day of the Orange Moon.

  Spending the night, a chipmunk wakes Garuman up in an excitement. It is from Sevron Arzellon and he says that they have unearthed information about the Ogres that he can share if the party comes to the Isle. Also they were checking up on the group and found that Mika was odd... there was no history to Mika, it was as if she suddenly just appeared and she is protected from divination magic.   The party meets Tak's Great Grandma and she wonders if he is coming to Discovery Day, the day that the family met Sirnai and pledged service to her. It is in two weeks. At breakfast Tak's Mother Menia, greets the party and Garuman smokes with Tak's father.   Garuman and SHei go off in search of Mika and Voidheart while Tak goes to Lake Illisium to find Sirnai's Sanctuary.   Following Mika and Voidhearts footprints, the two adventurers find a pair of boots that seem to have been ripped apart from the inside. A little farther away, just a single step; there is a pair of footprints! Ogre Footprints!   Tak goes to the lake and skips on the twelve stones, not missing a single step and a whirlpool opens to reveal an underwater passage to a hidden temple.   Tak speaks with Sirnai, finding out that the Family is not just tasked with guiding people through the wilds and on journies but with helping change the world. They are tasked with helping initiate change and growth, a lot of responsibility for a small family. He also finds out that Sirnai and Shurrani were once married in the Spirit Age but separated.   The party reunites and decides to head towards the tower in the west. On the way they are ambushed by a Girallon and they promptly defeat it.
