Session 6 Report

General Summary

The party meets the Hob Leader, Jeck, a tall fat hob who speaks with authority. They ask to spend the night before investigating what the hobs found in their cave. During the night Shei converts a few of the hobs to the idea of worshipping Shurrani. Several of the party members also hear strange whispering which causes them to have a restless night.   When the sun rises on the next day the party goes into the tunnels below the hobs home. Mika knocks on a coffin and a zombie emerges. Defeating the undead the party continues to investigate. Tak finds a strange vial of red liquid. The party solves a puzzle involving ten snake statues and manage to unlock a treasury.   In a chamber that the party assumes is used for dark rituals, they fight a gibbering mouther and defeat it. Inside this chamber there is a mummified corpse; it seems as if some creature feeds on the life force of other beings. The party continues and finds a library where a book speaks about the Master of this strange tomb, who seems to have found a way to steal Essence from other beings. It was sealed away so that the jealous enemies of his could not get him. It also mentioned that one of his cultists managed to get away and would eventually spread the word of his greatness for future generations.   Proceeding just a little further, the party finds a sealed coffin; Shei breaks the seal and releases Archram the Cruel; a wight with four arms and wearing warrior armor. He thanks the party for releasing him and asks for their sacrifice to gain power. Wyren agrees, giving up some of her Essence (experience) in exchange for a boon. She soon finds that he is telepathic and has a connection to Archram.   Unsure of the entity's true intentions, Garuman and Tak seal the wight away but  Tak uses his paladin powers to sense that the Wight managed to teleport away; now that he was regaining his strength.
