Session 1: You have come to a tavern Report

General Summary

The 10th day of the Orange moon of the year 436

  The party arrives at the Shieldwall Tavern and begins to proceed to live up to their troublesome reputations. Wyren attempts to shake down Sharreph the tavern master but finds his attempts relatively unsuccessful. During this time Mika tries to knock one of the shields off the far wall but causes the protective magic to go off, causing several people to be blown off their feet.     The party checks out the bounty board and take the advertisement for a young daughter looking for help with her missing father; an adventurer who went to investigate an ancient graveyard from the last age. They leave the bounty by Merchant Ecrick who wants the death of a tribe of hobs, willing to play 15 gp per ear pair. There is also a call from a local hamlet leader, Derri Herrow, seeking aid with a problem in the local forest; he is offering 200 gp.   Tak agrees to help out Sharreph; whose apprentice has not returned from the basement. The party goes down, Shei's spirit Anvi separates and looks around one section of the basement while the others go towards the smell that longers. They find a blink dog who will not let them into the chamber and attempt to calm it down; unfortunately, they do not know the command words. After a short fight; in which it runs away, the party continues searching the basement. In a wine storage chamber they find the body of the dead apprentice; and Wyren spots the giant spider that is responsible for his death.   A bitter fight ensues; with more spiders joining the fray. Fortunately everyone survives their first combat. On the body of the apprentice is a note,   "Your reward is nigh; all you must do is continue to undermine the archmage. Once you have weekend him enough we shall send our emmissary to deal with him." -The Jester   With the first job complete, you make your way to rest for the night before heading off on a new adventure.
