Session 3: Welcome to Arundel! Report

General Summary

Blue Sea Star 9th

The session began with our heroes doing a morning powwow with everyone in Ratgrove Church of Seiros with Cleric Marlin and the rest of the Rhindeston survivors.   Cleric Marlin recommended resources to help everyone such as the Arundel Magistrate for seeking employment, and the Whitehook Magic Magistrate for those seeking an Spellcasting License.   He also mentioned if they wanted to give back to the church, the newer cleric (Cleric Analore Ross) at the church of seiros in Ashrock needed help convincing young people to come to the church.(art district of Arundel)   Afterwards with the help of Cleric Marlin and paperwork everyone gained entry into Arundel. Where they were greeted by the hilly crest and small valleys of the city. All sorts of merchants wheeled carts and carriadges to different markets in town.   A few minutes after entering the town, a spice merchant by the name of Webster Egbert lost control of his cart as it rolled down hill towards the group. Loras Longwalk was able to stop it mostly but in the process this cart broke its axel and a part of their own cart. Araya using mending was able to patch it up pretty well after 15 minutes. The merchant thanked Loras by giving him a few gold, and Araya by giving her free 3ou bags of spices (paprika, corriander, cumin)   Afterwards the group booked several rooms for a week at the Bloody Bay Tavern run by Calvin Hart (1gp 5sp). Everyone except Kane, and Stewart got a room at the inn/tavern.   The party then split. Kuyen, Gurtel, Tina went to the Labor Magistrate. Stewart went to his girlfriend's home. Kane went somewhere else? Loras and Araya went to the magic magistrate.   On the way, Loras and Araya passed through Diamond Square where they saw many merchant lined up. As well as a "nonviolent" protest seemingly against the Church of Seiros occuring in the park. About 40 people gather and chanted against the church, with one individual. (Light skin, Human with French-Braided black Hair) standing and leading the chants on top of the nonrunning fountain. About 2 dozen guards gather to break up the groups.   Eventually Loras/Araya reach the magic magistrate and sign up Arcane License exam with human deskperson Dolly Spartan for 10gp. On the way out Araya bumps into a young green hair mage, who promptly insulted her.   Araya then went to the library to study. Met another individual studying for exam Daniel Johnson. They studied for a few hours, then did some practical study in one of the magistrate's demiplanes.   Loras asked a guard for directions (Town Guard Moon). Loras and her walk to local branch of Orson Trading Co. Lorass bought 10 beads of expansion for 10gold. Loras then sold eggs in a marker square for a few hours.   In the evening. Loras, Tina, and Kuyen,Gurtel had a few beers at the bloody bay tavern. Getting some Truffle stew, Tina got the salad. Eventually Araya and Daniel join the group, get some drinks food and play cards. Lastly Rain joins coming in a little drunk, and they play a few more games of cards. Before everyone crashed.  

Blue Sea Star 10th

In the morning Araya did some last minute studying with Loras before they went to the Whitehook magistrate for the exam.   Both of them scored well on the written exam. Then they one by one every did the practical. Getting some comments from peanut gallery.  

During the duel portion

Araya faced Isaac Ewing (green hair kid), Araya won in a close fight. Loras faced Daniel Johnson. Loras won using the command spell and maybe daniel walk out of the arena.   Blaine Duralis who transmuted a statue from stone before destroying it with a kick that captured the essence of a storm.   With that everyone is let back into the waiting room to wait on results.
Araya scolds Loras for having a easy time with the exam.   Everyone but Sistine Shapelle passed the tier 1 exam.   Loras and Isaak provoked each other, and decided to go outside for a make impromptu duel. That ended with Lorass grovelling, and left levitating in the sky for 10 minutes.   After returning to tavern party met up with Rain again who was drunk again, and asked for help fighting spiders tomorrow. Explained their days and then decided to go to a club to celebrate.   Araya turned her flirt up in order to get free drinks. Everyone has a good time. Araya gets "business card" from Artist Aserno Gallardo.   Then everyone went to bed.
