16.4.2.3 From deep within the Drake Cave Report

General Summary

Adler took off like a bat out of hell down the southern passage flying as fast as his boots and the haste from Daemon's magic allowed him too after the last of the Frost Drakes. As Adler nears the final bend he hears a scream of mortal terror in Draconic cut off sharply. Adler sees the Drake on the cave floor with Giggity's in her new Winter Wolf form, she had the Drakes throat in her teeth. Behind her stood Celebrimbor of the Silver hand posed with Heartspit to receive a charge from the Drake. Above them rode Fitz charging upon his trusty flying camel Pingo ready to ride down the camel should it have survived.  Adler sheaths his arrows and bow shaking his head at the three of them "About time ya all showed up!" and turns back to the rest of us to help butchering with the Drakes.  We make plans to return tomorrow night and melt the ice wall with a combination of a Wall of Fire spell from Daemon and a Wall of Gears prayers from Zaxel.
  We spent a few minutes debating if we should strike over at the Wickerman or Take the Longhouse. In the end Zaxel came up with the most persuasive argument.. that being he wanted to push the Wickerman over the cliff more then he wanted to kill a couple more giants, thinking that if he had a giant construct sitting by his door and someone broke it he too would be upset and sad possibly even demoralized.   So Zaxel used his prayers to Brigh to allow us to fly like the winds.
    We positioned ourselves around the Wickerman.  Varr'os took the highest ground on the second ledge, Giggity climbed down the cliff side and wedged herself between a burnt out watchtower and the cliff, Adler too to the air, Daemon and Celebrimbor took the first ledge, Zaxel and Fitz took the ground.
  Celebrimbor and Zaxel close in on the Wickerman, Fitz prepares to charge it if it reacts.  Adler readies a volley of arrows, Daemon prepares his magical powers, I too prepared a blast with my seed rifle, Giggety however grew impatient and fired three arrows into the Wickerman.  Waking it up and causing it to spring into fire and start trying to crush us with its flaming hands.
  Celebrimbor backs up to the cliffside and tries to hide in the shadows. Zaxel creates 24 gallons of water over the top of the Wickerman. Pingo flies up 50' and Fitz unloads four shots with his frosty repeating heavy crossbow.  The Wickerman reaches up and snatches Pingo out of the air, blasting Fitz with burning splinters from its forearm.  Daemon speaks the words of an ancient Acidic Disintegration on the Wickerman.  Adler flies up a tad more and unloads on the Wickerman.  Varr'os fires four times not damaging the wickerman at all.   Giggity unloads four arrows and hits twice.
  Celebrimbor falls back again moving over so hes almost underneath where Giggity has wedged herself into the cliff wall and summons a Large Water Elemental  Zaxel creates another 24 of gallons over the Wickerman.   Fitz unloads four times with his family Katana trying to cut Pingo out of the grasp of the Wickerman.  Pingo tries to get free but cant so he takes a big chomp out of the Wickerman.   The Wickerman's chest opens up and swallows both Pingo and Fitz, then swats the water elemental back to the plane of Water. Daemon lets loose with an Acidic Scorching Ray.  Adler fires four arrows, sinking three of them into it.  The third arrow pierces into the heart of the Wickerman extinguishing the flames forever more.
  The sounds of battle and the smoke and embers from the Wickerman incited the giants to muster and come to its defense.. When we pushed it over the cliffside they started to form up and march towards us..   Signal horns and rockets from every watch tower, it looked scary.   Daemon Teleports Giggity and Adler back to the Sylvan Hideway.. The rest of us wanted to spend a while drifting like clouds or farts upon the wind.
  While we were flying above the camp, I noticed that a figure was heading into the Temple that we had destroyed earlier tonight.  I saw a new type of giant that ive never even heard of before.  Pale skinned, almost bone white skin; Daemon later Identified it as a Tomb Giant..  a Giant infused with the powers of undeath and necromantic energy.  ..It was dragging a human prisoner with him into the temple.   I was able to slip in through the crack that Zaxel had shaped as i was still a magical gnomish fart upon the wind.  I made it into the main chamber we fought the crazy undead creature that has a sister a few hundred miles north east of here.   The Tomb Giant used its giant scythe and cut the human slave down in one swing then picked up the body of the undead monstrosity and dragged it out the door.  I spent some time waiting until the gas would allow me to form into dwarven form again.  I returned corporeal, placed the murdered human into my bag of holding.. thankfully he was dead so he had no need to try to breathe as i know there is no air on the otherside of the bag.
  I left the Temple and shot up again as a fart upon the winds..  flowing quickly back to the Wickerman's place i was able to pick up the tracks of the giant and watch him.. walk up to the stone doors of the Crypt and they opened automatically for him..  No word, no phrase, no gesture.. just automatically opened when he got close to it AND they closed silently behind him.   I was a little scared, not afraid to admit it.  I flew as fast as i could back to the Sylvan Hideaway and told the others what I had discovered and retrieved.
  Ive asked both Daemon and Zaxel to prepare the ritual they know to bring the dead back to the life.  This human that i know nothing about.. i am willing to pay the diamond cost to bring him back to life and give up my share of the treasure we have found within this village to restore him to health.  I dont even care if he give us some intelligence about this camp or not.. I was powerless to stop him from being murdered.. it took too long to return to normal form to even have a shot at the tomb giant.. let alone save the man.  I feel i owe it to him.   I have refused to remove the body from the bag until the time comes when either of them can either speak with the dead or pray for a raising the dead upon his body; in the hopes that his body would not be corrupted from exposure to oxygen.
  We have decided to sleep the day away and decide a new objective tomorrow at sunset.

Missions/Quests Completed

We eliminated the entire Frost Drake nest, Will have to track down the brood mother.
  We destroyed the Wickerman Construct causing the giants to be all riled up.. after all it was a huge loss to their moral as it was a mighty powerful being we fought.
  We discovered that at least one Tomb Giant serves Skirkatla.   Both the name of the founder of this village, and its current Lord, or LADY as the case may be.
