Into the Vault Report

General Summary

After some time aboard the Beyonder and a particularly violent encounter with a sahuagin troop, the party (Name TBD) finally arrived in the southern shores of Ekru, where the enchanted map showed a path to be. Taking some rowboats and securing them after landing, the party which now included Doros's friend Peren, a fellow goliath, made the climb atop the cliffs that mark the southern shores of Ekru with some difficulty but no major incidents. Upon reaching the summit and heading down into the lower banks of a river bank where they made camp for the night. Drake and Eleonora spotted a large creature resembling the image on the map, though staying unseen, neither of them being able to identify what it was. The following day, the group managed to reach the mountain marked on the map where they searched for the gate, finding it in a crevice that had been partially filled with sand. In this crevice was a segmented pillar that contained alchemical symbols not unlike the ones on the map and after moving the correct ones into place, the pillar sunk to the ground, leaving an entryway in the process.    The party proceeded through a series of decorated but empty rooms some with statues, some with ornate tile, some with glyphs and inscriptions, until they reached a final chamber where there was a statue, somewhat more detailed than the rest, that was wearing a faintly glowing orange necklace. Drake, not one to be stopped immediately sprang into action to try and take it, only to be stopped by Li-Trix and Eleonora. As the rest of the group arrived on this chamber, Doros identified the statue to be a representation of Kord, the god he follows, and the necklace as both very magical and very divine. Drake then used his mage hand to remove it from the statue, causing its eyes to glow orange, as well as the previously blue glyphs that had provided dim light for them until this point, and the door to shut behind them with a loud clang.
