001: Dragonhunt Report
General Summary
The group learned from Uncle Frankie that there was a team up in the mountains hunting a dragon. He had a guy who was willing to pay them if they could find the lair first. They proceeded up into the mountains and discovered there was a raging forest fire being dealt with by the Forest Service around the town of Cedar Ridge. Upon entering the town they encountered a little girl who begged them to help her find her mother. They agreed and she lead them to her home. A cabin in the burnt part of the forest. Upon investigation they began to notice some odd things about the cabin and the girl. They proceeded into a basement which lead to a tunnel. Eventually coming to a cavern deep in the mountains. Their investigation into the darkness determined the cavern was actually a nursery connected to the dragon's lair. They discovered a pair of eggs on an embankment in a hot spring. Both eggs appeared to have already hatched. Artemis entered the lair proper and stole a Jeweled Dagger, but was discovered by a group of soldiers present in the lair. A gunfight ensured, and they learned the little girl had allergies. She sneezed dragon fire upon the men and revealed her true form as a dragon hatchling.
