015: When Robots Bite Back Report

General Summary

Enjoying a nice poker night to drum up business at Salty's Saloon, the group helps promotes activities to the patrons. A suspicious man lingers in the corner, wearing a scarf and cough mask even indoors. He observes the people present in the bar, lingering on Kei Sakamoto then pinning his gaze on Rosabelle with fervor. "Dr" Phoebe Martino uses one of her wacky inventions to observe the supernatural energy of the man, finding quite the opposite as if he was attracting the waves rather then emitting them. Before he can be confronted, he exits quickly moving stiffly out the door. The group calms believing the threat to be gone when he suddenly returns with a lollipop offering the delight to the young girl. Immediately realizing the danger Kei Sakamoto steps in to prevent any further conversation, forcing the man out.   Still feeling suspicious of the strange man Officer Sakamoto decides to follow him as he walks straight for an unusually long duration of time, the others safely placing Rosabelle into her little hoard for bed. When the man circles back he has no reaction to a fleeing cat, turning into the alley next to Salty's. Attempting still to tail him, Kei finds him observing the area of their previous battle, running his fingers along a spot of the wall. When she demands he leaves he vanishes down the end of the walkway, seeming to neither go left or right. Wanting to inspect what the man was doing the others come out and start investigating the weird behavior for reason.   Right when they thought they were about to find the answers they were looking for the lighting suddenly strikes revealing the disappearing man to have climbed onto the wall, holding on to the graffitied cement with almost spiderlike reflexes. He rips off his mask and scarf revealing lines going into his mouth and neck, which open up to reveal machinery and two large fanglike needles attached to an assortment of vials housed in his neck. A hiss echoes from his mechanical maw as he lunges for Rosabelle who had previously polymorphed into a dog, making a run for it with the pup. Lee Sullivan sprang into action catching up with the monster and freeing Rosabelle from his grip. The group begins brawling with him, Phoebe setting off an EMP to stun him while Lee smashes him in with a trash can. To finish him off, still in dog form, Rosabelle tears into his leg freeing some veiny tubes that spray oily blood which Kei takes the time to indulge in.   In excitement, Phoebe has Lee bring his battered corpse into her lab for further study. While she is busy studying the kill switch she'd removed, one of his hands go missing scurrying onto the ceiling before being dismantled, revealing a thumb drive hidden in his thumb. The thumb drive held multiple files, most of which we password blocked, revealing the creature's involvement with MacroTech. In her haste to discover more information, Phoebe plugs the head into her microwave, allowing the man to speak to them, informing them of his name and a few details about him. Though it was strange since the robot was entirely inorganic...So how did it have a life beyond collecting samples for the corporation?
