Shaking off the Rust Report

General Summary

Cuin, Chuck, and Guardian meet at the train station beyond the bulwark, and make their reunion. The fourth member of the party, EV, arrives as well, and brief introductions are made. As a ticketer makes his way through the crowd offering a choice of passage, Cuin picks the suite for his companions, a lavishly appointed traincar that serves as their personal quarters for the duration of the journey.   As the adventurers settle in, Guardian gives more details about why he gathered them - out in the wasteland, reports have surfaced of a creation forge being found. one that creates warforged. this flies in the face of conventional wisdom, that the warforged were a Marnian invention, and poses additional threats to the people of the frontier. The creations are mad, and twisted, and attacking settlers far to the north. The four have agreed to at the very least investigate the rumors.    The train pushes through a changed landscape of rolling grasses, strange insect mounds, and low vegetation, a vast difference between now and the wasteland of old. Roaming herds of buglike creatures led by their thri-kreen handlers push graze across the countryside, as the train cuts through a series of deep tunnels carved through the mountainside.    While underground, moving through a deep subterranean canyon, dune hulks dropped on the roof of the traincar, seeking an easy meal from the passengers within. Through gadgetry, ranged lethality, and a healthy dose of physics, the reformed Folly's End made short work of the creatures. The train continues on to The Drop, where the adventurers will spend the next few days while the massive train descends the elevator at the edge.
