#16: Luck and a Beanie Report

General Summary

Session Recap:

• The team split up to get things done around Phandalin.
• Edgelord, Toot Toot, and GEARBOX stopped by the Shrine of Luck to make offerings to Candaché in the hopes of increasing their good luck on the journey ahead. Toot Toot's shadow self shows up for the first time, goatee and all.
• Phony Quark and Jafar went to the Lionshield Coster and asked Linene Graywind what she had heard about the Neverwinter Wood. Linene revealed that the merchants who work with her had been reporting spooky happenings while on the section of the Triboar Trail next to the wood. Glimpses of unnatural creatures, weird things happening like items going missing or fires breaking out.
• Phony Quark got a really cool pair of googles from the Coster while they were there. Edgelord, Toot Toot, and GEARBOX swung by as well, and Toot Toot traded in some extra weapons for better armor. GEARBOX found a cute rust-colored beanie.
• Mittens went to see Daran Edermath at his orchard, to both pick up some trail food and see if Daran knew anything about Neverwinter Wood. "Be prepared for danger if you go," Daran cautions.
• Back to the Stonehill Inn! Everyone enjoys some food and fiddle music. Someone approaches Edgelord. "Artemis? Artemis Cannonade, is that you?" It's Halia Thornton, an old family friend from Thundertree. Edgelord reveals his real name is Artemis, and takes out his hair extensions. Jafar and Artemis fist bump in what turns into a meeting of the mage hands.
• The kids in the tavern love Jafar's magic, so they move the party outside and create a spectacular show for the kiddos, with help from Toot Toot and GEARBOX. Meanwhile, inside Mittens stuffs rolls into his stack and mutters to himself about the doom and gloom that is surely coming their way.
