Cult of EX-CV-8 Report

General Summary

The crew of the Bet'Rau Htom had a little downtime, docked in port on Worlport in Ord Mantel . During this time, Zetonix Cret checked up on his bounty, a dead-or-alive bounty placed on a slicer known as Treaal Nouren, put in place by the Tenloss Syndicate . The bounty in question fled Ord Mantel heading for Rodia.   Meanwhile, the crew had received an invitation to meet wiwth the Hutt , Na'aaran , owner of the casino Na'aan's Oasis who had a job for the crew. While Xall Hadzia , Bonbacu and Zetonix Cret went to speak with the Hutt, Khaffa Rae took the opportunity to partake in her gambling obsession while Ryker stayed near her to keep her out of trouble (and to hellp her avoid the Hutt, as Khaffa had killed a Hutt in her escape in the previous episode).   Na'aaran began explaining why he had summoned the crew. He had an easy, if not overly high-paying, job for them..a sort of test to see if they could do more complicated work for him later. They were to travel to Ord Mantell's junk moon, Quantxi to retrive the databanks of a pleasure yacht known as the Imperialis. The pay was only 1,500 credits but surely would be an easy in and out job.   As Bonbacu and Zetronix negotiated with the Hutt, Xall went to check on Ryker and Khaffa. Khaffa was playing the turboslots and made a modest amount on her first pull...unfortunately the security droids noticed her. As the others tried to convince her to leave, she made another pull and won much bigger, causing the lights on the machine to flash and more attention to be drawn to her. As Bonbacu and Zetronix had finished negotiations and were heading back down, Xall ushered Khaffa out the door while Ryker distracted the security droids. The casino was exited without incident.   The crew took off from Ord Mantel headed to Quantxi, a simple flight that required only about 30 minutes. Entering Quanxi's atmosphere they located the wreck of the Imperialis, which looked as though some sort of wall made out of junk had been placed around it, especially shoring up the giant hole in the side of the ship. That's also when they realized a laser cannon on the ship was active...it began firing at them! They were able to take it out without much problem and went about looking for a place to land the ship. More trouble showed up though in the form of five TIE fighters which appeared to have been repaired using junk found on the moon's surface. Dodging the massive piles of junk and managing to stay ahead of the faster, more maneuverable TIE fighters, the crew was able to destroy them and find a place to land, a few miles away from the wreck of the yacht....
