Session 61: The Maelstrom Opens

General Summary

Zadoc, Ilbryen, and Vincinius headed to the Collegium Arcanum, a grand library and university. However, the Living Spell Legend Lore informed them of their limited access, as the library proper is only available to citizens of the Oleander Throne. However, they did purchase a history of the Oleander Throne for 50 gold.   Vincinius stated that he knew where they could get forged citizenship papers. He told the party that Jim Gallows is an underlord who can provide forged papers He took Zadoc and Ilbryen to the Fortune and Avarice Gaming Hall, but were unsuccessful in getting a meeting with Jim Gallows   The party met up together and all went to the Temple of the All-Father, and asked lots of religious questions about the All-Father and the nature of monotheism, who failed to explain his religious tenets to the party’s satisfaction. They then went to the bathhouse where the party relaxed and Bolvaic and Donk each got massages   As the party began to head back to the inn, the light atop the Great Lighthouse of Paraetonium began to flash and the maelstrom opened. Zadock felt the pull of the Leviathan and its pain. He dove into the ocean to swim to the lighthouse as the rest of the party moved to secure their dinghy to head to the lighthouse.   They found that all sea traffic was halted, excepting for those who were citizens. Zadock made it to the lighthouse grounds, but found that it was heavily secured and he retreated back to the city as the maelstrom closed.   The party decided that they would need citizen papers to move more freely
