Session 69: Nice! Meet the B Team
General Summary
Back at the League Hall, Illevaere, Levi, and Tertius met with Levi's grandfather, Obadiah, who introduced them to the new people that he recruited to help them with their tast. Myohn Leerick is a Salamar bard from The Feywild, and Obediah is not certain if he can be inflicted with lycanthropy. Nortle is a tortle warlock who seemed to have immediate interest in assisting with the task at hand. Aisling Hawthorne is a Half-Elf paladin/bard who has enthusiasm and spirit, leading the group in cheers. Snirk, the Kobold Squire to Donk, is set to accompany this group as well. With the introductions made, Obadiah restated his mission. He has become aware of the once near-feral packs of lycanthropes on the isle of Llwellyn have started working together in unison, being led by Ulfr, whom Obadiah believes is an apex predator. From what he has uncovered, Ulfr has found a way of summoning The Wild Hunt. His intends on summoning the Hunt and then, as a wolf, challenging the leader of the Hunt's pack, taking command of it. The other werebeasts would then join the hunt and they would move throughout the isles, cutting down cities, leaving everyone either dead or infected. He knows that the Oleander forces had worked with Ulfr at some point, but this does not seem to be a part of the Oleander plan. Obediah also stated that he had realized that he was being tracked and he believes that he lost them before reaching the guild hall. The group made their final preparations and began to head out westward toward Llywellyn, taking horses from the guild stable. The party traveled for several days, moving north along the shore to avoid the mountain pass. After a few days of travel, they began to notice signs of the werewolves nearby, potentially having picked up their tracks again. Knowing that there was a small river pass that they would have to use a ferry to cross, the party decided to press on to reach it during the evening to put more distance between them and their pursuers. Approaching the ferry, Illevaere and the others picked up on signs and scents of wolves and oil on the ground, realizing that an ambush was set. The party struck first, attacking them before they could start their ambush. Levi had been traveling as a bear and attacked them in his bear form. The bards used inspiration on the group and the battle against the lycanthropes had begun.
