session 4 Report

General Summary

So this session was fun. we started re capping what all went down with the Strange man at whispering rock. the party then left and on the way to Geni they came up on a party of Adventures being assaulted by a manitcore. three of them were brought low by the beast before the party made it to them. Malumus and Ni'Hi healed the wizard and the ranger and together they all brought down the manticore and then travelling together they went to Geni. while in Geni they returned a bounty to a man named [harua ] about the missing mining expedition. they also received a portion of gold from the party they rescued from when they turned in their personal bounty on the manticore. all told they received 200 gold. they then picked up two bounties, one dictated 10 gold for every Tlincalli head procured. the other was from a man who called himself () it stated that he needed some people to test a contraption he had made. Ni'Hi and Bass were dispatched to get more details. upon arrival they were greeted to a wild haired gnome who had a manic personality and among other things a propensity for explosions. the gnome led them to his warehouse and produced an Oaken Bolter he had named Sparky. from there they set off to go slay some Tlincalli. after the first day of travel they encountered a disguised Jacklewere who stated that his 'lady' wanted Malumus and that they were to follow him. Malumus decided it sounded like fun and they re routed to the Sleeping pool Oasis. it was three days to the pool and during the time they were kept unmolested by a number of mostly unseen jackleweres. upon arrival to a seemingly empty oasis the party grew wary. just then they were attacked by 14 Jackle weres who had been concealed underneath the sand. only by the grace of Ni'Hi and Sparky the Bolter was the party able to survive the assault. every member being put to sleep multiple times. after taking unforgivable casualties that Jackle weres decided to cut and Run and just picked up Malumus and ran for it. they were stopped by Sparky and Ni'Hi who worked fast and were able to wake up the party and kill the Jackleweres before they got away with malumus. as a back up plan two of [Nirici the Opulent ]'s consorts were sent out as well. clad in Hide Armor and wielding Scimitars they arrived in time for a mere 5 jackle weres to escape. they two lamia decreed that Malumus come with them and one cast Geas on Ni'Hi because he was tired of getting tazed. Malumus promptly cast Tasha's hideous laughter on the seocnd one and the first one was brought low due to a Timely hex from Ni'Hi and the entire party laying into him. he was finished by Sparky. the perty decided to cut losses and flee all except Ni'Hi who attempted to harass the Remaining Lamia until it left. it promptly landed a Geas of him (he failed this time) and commanded him to land. Ni'Hi denied and was knocked unconscious and he plummeted to the ground and subsequently captured by the Lamia. the rest of the party escaped and we ended the session there.
