General Summary

The party returned to the Merwench at the end of the day to end session 2. When they reached the inn they found Connor awake at the bar deep in conversation with Bracken. Lennon introduced Stunfisk to Connor. They had a nice chat getting to know each other.   In the end they decided to head for the Bywater Hotel to dine in style. Arriving at the more upscale hostelry they hesitated at first, but then headed up the stairs and into the lobby. The desk clerk looked them with a pained expression as they approached. After determining they were here for dinner he passed them on to one of the bell boys, and they soon found themselves in the hand of the wait staff.   Their waiter did not have any issues with them and after explaining the menu and pricing he took their orders and waited on them properly. They found that this Hotel, which catered to the ship's officers and merchants that found their way here in Escadia for a few days had a remarkable chef as the food was magnificent. The room was the height of elegance and featured chamber music. They dined on bacon and seaweed wrapped baked oysters, Baked flounder, and a flaming cherry desert. As the meal wore down and others were leaving one of the passerby noticed and recognized Stunfisk. He was the first officer from the Loyola, the ship that had brought Stunfisk to Escadia. He introduced himself as KARNOS, and asked if Stunfisk and his fellows would be interested in taking on a job for him? Stunfisk said they would, and Karnos asked them to meet him here for brunch tomorrow at 10am. As he left he stopped and spoke to the Head Waiter, and soon the party had a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine to finish their evening.   The party then returned to the Merwench, but reaching the door they heard the sounds of festivities and found themselves observing the same as the guests at the ABLE SEAMAN spilled out into WATERMAN'S MARKET turning it into an open air dance hall. Although the music featured two fiddlers playing the same out of time with each other and a third playing some different tune entirely the lively crowd were enjoying a fine evening under the stars. Many fights broke out, but most were short lived and soon forgotten. Which was fortunate for the party as young Sage decided to try her pick pocketing skills, and failed miserably. Her target though was too drunk to focus on that and soon turned back to his drink and the music. After a good nights sleep the three compatriots set out for their meeting with Kranos. Arriving at the Bywater, they were soon seated with their benefactor. He graciously offered them select breads and pastries, and tea. They joined in the breakfast, and were soon in conversation. Kranos did not want to go into details, but said he had need of someone to track down some discreet cargo that had not reached its intended recipient. The party said they'd be interested, so he asked them to meet him and the Captain at the ship at 1pm. They agreed and then finished their meal discussing less business like matters. At 1pm the party had made their way down Cyprus street and out to the dock where the Loyola was docked. Karnos was waiting on deck, and had his men send them on board. Once on ship he lead them down to the Captain's cabin. Their they found the CAPTAIN MELLURE sitting in his nicely done cabin sipping on a glass of wine. He offered them a seat and a glass of the wine. The captain then explained their problem. The ship had been commissioned to bring in some wine for a certain family here in Escadia, but three of the cases were not going to be wine, but hand cannon. Those boxes had left the ship headed to the warehouse. When the customers got them home the hand cannon were missing, they had been replaced with lesser wine.   The party were offered 200 sp to find where the guns were. They were assured by the Captain and Karnos that their search should begin with the Longshoremen who took possession of the cargo on the dock. So the party walked west down the Cyprus Docks and found the guild hall of the LONGSHOREMEN. There they found that the cargo had been turned over to the Teamsters from ORBAN'S TEAMSTERS who were to take it to NILUS WAREHOUSE. The party tried to track down the teamsters but didn't find them. Reflecting on the fact that longshoremen had the cargo for only a few hundred feet, and that the teamsters had only had it for a short trip down Cyprus Street to Waterman's Market, which they crossed to Nilus Warehouse there seemed little opportunity for skulduggery before Nilus received the goods. Connor being in the employ of MALWART'S a shipping and warehousing company he knew that these types of swaps did occur in warehouses.   Dinner at the Bywater. Karnos recognized Stunfisk and asks him to meet him for brunch. Brunch at the Bywater. Karnos offers them employ to find who stole a secret shipment.   Boat to longshoremen to Teamsters union not Orban's. Then to warehouse. Spent time at able seaman. Cased Nilus'   Broke in. Stunfisk and Sage onto crates to the left. Connor stumbled coming in alerting guards. Stunfisk took out two with color spray, Connor killed one, Sage missed. Connor also got one to surrender. two more attacked him and one hit. Then he killed both with one swing. Stunfisk put darkness between the watch commander and party. Sage readied an attack if he came through the darkness. He ran off instead.   They got info that Arnaud took the guns. They left them tied up and went home.   900 xp
