Session 40: Unveiling Mysteries Report
General Summary
The session began with the party heading to the city after their encounter with Chalice in their keep. In the city they found they were being tailed by Kapak, the copper Draconian and Orion sent him a message to meet in the usual spot in a few hours to make sure it acutally was him. The party then decided to head to speak to Lenna instead where they told her about their newly formed alliance with Burblespue Halescourge, instead of killing him. Lenna seem confused by this, feeling as if he will simply betray the alliance and he will live to fight another day and create more abominations, but had to accept what happened. She also alluded to getting a powerful ally, but did not disclose much about them other than that they control some sort of undead. Zeal then wanted to go and speak with the Queen while the rest of the party went to speak with Durmir Metalbelly, the Dwarf who will help them reconstruct the keep and renovate it. Zeal wanted to speak with the Queen because of what happened when they had fought the Assassins, and the entity that had done that was in contact with him once again. The Queen told Zeal not to accept whatever he offered, and that it was not worth it for whatever he will have to do. In the end she told him that it was his choice, but he should do what is right. Zeal then returned to the rest of the party where they got the repairs for their keep priced and a letter sent with the money contained. After this the party headed back to the dock ward where they met with Yolon and warned him about him being discovered by Chalice and no longer safe. He left with the other Draconians to find somewhere safe, and that Kapak will find them if they should want to speak. The session ended with the party resting for the night at the keep, ready to set off to infiltrate Iron Peak.
