Session 24: Crimson Lightning
General Summary
The session began with the party heading back to the city and the sun setting over the horizon. During this time, Aes began to feel uneasy, and the rest of the party notices that Aes' eyes quickly flickered red for but a moment. A sense of trepidation was felt throughout the party, and they instinctually armed themselves, prepared for anything. Dark clouds and heavy rain quickly appeared before the group, clearly unnatural and Orion figured this was magical in nature. Blood red lightning streaked across the sky, ominous and foreboding. During this time, a crack like ice began to form in the sky, ripping open and showing the infinite cosmos. Out of this tear, two figures began to fall like meteors towards the party, and with hardly any time to react, the figures reached the party, one landing close by, and another grabbing Aes by the neck and dragging her across the floor, crushing and splitting the ground beneath them both. A short but arduous combat ensued, where these two figures, knightly in nature with metallic wings, gave the party a rough time with their heavy armour and magical abilities. During this time, Aes gained a Grievous scar across her face, Orion lost his nose and Geraldt broke his tail. With barely an inch of their lives left, the figures were finished off, both disappearing from a radiant gold beams of light, which disintegrated anything that got on their path. After the party reached the city, they rested in the Red Glade headquarters and woke up the next to regain the potions they lost from the night before. After this, they headed to Lenna and Blaine's, where Zeal played a game of dice with Kalki to get some answers from her, and vice versa.
