Session 14: Friends in High Places Report
General Summary
The session began with the party heading towards the Governors manor to help prevent the assassination of 5 members of the Privy Council, the Queen's Advisors. When they reach the location, they show a note from the commander to guards at the front of the courtyard of the manor. They were then allowed to keep watch over the dinner party of the council. Around 30 minutes later, 3 individuals stood up, and the guards told them to sit down before they fell to the floor, poisoned. The party quickly jumped to action, attacking the individuals, with their leader assumed to be High Prophet Abraham D'coil who wrote the manifesto they found in the sewers. After a tussle where blades were met and spells were tossed, the party got the manor evacuated and shut the door behind them, with only one of the council member dying. The next day, they were granted audience with the Queen, who granted them a Sum of 500 Gold and a deed to 'Dimcandle Keep'. They were promptly greeted by a large-bellied dwarf named Belegar, who was excited to show them to their new land. They spent an hour ride heading to the Keep, where it appeared to be in disrepair and in need of a lot of work to get the place back to its former glory. They then headed back to Helmgart where they headed to the library within the inner walls and did some research into various topics.
