Session 29: Across the Galvar Coast Report
General Summary
The session began with the party coming across an ancient Warforged, from centuries ago who participated in a great war against the Dragonborn during the millennium war in the Age of Darkness. It was rusted, growing moss across its body and kneeled to Aes, calling her General. There were many other corpses of Warforged there, which the party took parts from to help repair the Warforged. They also met a Halfling child with mossy green hair who had named the Warforged "Clanky" and given it flower necklaces. They took the Warforged to Helmgart, where they had him repaired by the Siege Engineers after telling the Queen about stopping the production of the abominations in Dreisdunkel Mine. The next day after retrieving Clanky and bringing it and Celtra back to their keep, they met with the crew of the Claymore and set sail for Caernstock. Shortly after setting off, the captain greeted the party and asked their names and skills until he came to Geraldt. He appeared to be intrigued about him and asked for his name, and once he heard it, he found out who he was. It turned out that they knew each other from a while ago, and the captain appeared to be aggrieved towards him. He berated Geraldt but decided to leave it for time being and later called Geraldt into his office to talk in private. During the second day, the ship was attacked by unknown creatures from the sea who attacked from the water but also boarded the ship. The ones from the sea threw harpoons to drag those close enough to the edge into the water and those on board were bloated humanoids who attacked with quills, tentacles and more. During this fight Zeal fought from a safe position upon the Crow's Nest where he was bombarded with lightning spells from a caster who appeared from the water and disappeared after casting a spell. For most of the fight, Orion was in the water after being harpooned by one of the creatures. He swam to the back of the ship whilst fending off the spellcaster and unhooked the harpoons from the ship so that they could set sail once again. The party the eventually reach the port city of Caernstock after 5 days of travel where they saw the might walls towering over the glistening water. The landscape of the city is an interconnected sea of islands connected by massive bridges that even the biggest of ships can pass through. The water is slick with grime and grease and every square inch of the city was covered by buildings, warehouses and stores, even the bridges
