Session VI : Field of Fire

General Summary

The battle begins in a open field, marshy and eerie. An ogre with dragon scales is swinging a club and bashing a group of humans while several troglodytes also attacking the townsfolk/cultist.   One fighter appears to be holding her own, Jos. She battles against the troglodytes protecting Ellisian Kidd. The players swing into battle with Grim racing out across the open field. In moments a geyser erupts and scorches him.   The ogre smashing townsfolk who try to flee as the rest of the team skirts around the outside of the field, while Belus using his athleticism to waterstride his way towards Jos.   During the battle Jos is taken down and Lovelle uses magic missile to strike three of the troglodyt, killing two and badly wounding a fourth. Belus steps in to kill the final troglodyte and save Jos.   The ogre is handled by Safdee who blasts it with an elderich blast which summons a dinosaur, Ailduin who hits it with a poison arrow, and Grim who finally finishes it off with his trident. He nearly takes the head off.   When Jos is revived she tells them to finish the fight and leaves with Ellisian on a plant based horse.   While looting the crew finds the Javelin of Talok and a minor potion.   Then they buried the bodies.   Finally they arrive at the temple and see the hole that is the entrance in the skeletal forest. They proceed down into the hole and are confronted by three troglodyges and a yuan-ti brood guard.
