Session 3 : The Rat Gets His Cheese Report

General Summary

The players rush out of the foaming mug and find Jos and Elliasan Kidd being taken by Gremrigg, troglodytes and several cultists. Jos is fighting them off, but taking a huge beating. Lovelle attempts to negotiate with the dwarf and throws a firebolt at his feet - he says that he's looking forward to cracking open her skull.   The players rush in and defend the two women, killing all the creatures, including the monk with a shaved face. Grim slapped Alduin's ass and cured his poison.   They go with Elliasan and Jos to her house where they meet her sister, Lee. She gives them tea, which may have been poisoned, but only Grim took it and he didn't get poisoned.   It's late at night so the players take different watches to get through the night. Jos and Alduin take the first watch, but Alduin decides to leave and even works to convince Jos to abandon her post as well, she declines. He gets the priest garb from Grim and puts on a poorly constructed disguise and heads off to the temple. There he gets inside and is confonted by Misha who does not recognize him. He talks his way into getting assigned to hide the bodies and leave with two servants to conceal the death.   Alduin then leads the men into the grove where Treepee is waiting. They quickly dispatch of the servants.   Alduin asks to be polymorphed into something and Treepee suggests a rat, given how his friends perceive him. He sneaks into the temple as a rat and explores the lower level, a few rooms he's unable to and on the second level he identifies the hobgoblins and goblins who are hiding out on the top level. He leaves quickly.   While Alduin is exploring the remaining part of the night slips by and the players wake up. The sisters begin to make food for them. All the players, expect for Belus see Lee attempting to put some concoction into their food, the players confront her and Safdee puts a dagger to her throat in an attempt to intimidate her.   Lee looks right at Safdee and says, "You're all going to die." She then attempts to bite Safdee who slices her throat. She died on the floor in her sister's arms.   Alduin returns and then is punched by Grim for abandoning them. They talk about several plans wanting to confront the priests in the temple before their cover is blown. They decide to conceal Safdee as Lee and act as if they've captured the dragonborn Belus and Lovelle and taking them to the temple.   A service has just started and Safdee//Lee joins the service and the rest of them march through the front door.
