Session 5: Onward to Zriokots

General Summary

Start Date: Drovakna, Stillspring 30, 254 End Date: Jovakna, Stillspring 33, 254 Opening Scene: Evening, a campsite on the Coskurt/Zriokot Road, 10 miles from Coskurt Closing Location: Morning, common room of The Bare Sow Inn, Zriokots   Morchella hunts, Lia cooks and makes camp. First watch: the dog chases away a badger Second watch: no issues Third watch: Mau Mau barks at another badger Long rest. Morning: they head out.   Goal: 40 miles today on horseback First 10 miles: 11 on purple/monster 12 green/trap 11 yellow/treasure   Trap: quicksand. Morchella sees it and avoid it. Monster: Grey Ooze Ooze corrodes metal! Morchella's hand axe gets fucked! They kill it. Treasure: sweet sweet money bitch   Second 10 miles: 12 on red - NPC Sitting on the side of the road they see a thin, muscular half orc, with white hair. He has thin clothes and a suede knapsack. He’s an assassin left over from a long gone guild. We have lunch with him. He gives Lia a Wondrous Hollow Chime! It can call forth spectral assassins. Third 10 miles: No incidents. Fourth 10 miles: 10 Purple/monsters 12 blue/clue 11 green/ 2 wilderness features 9 gold/ mundane item   Monster: 1 ambush drake and 1 pseudo dragon Clues: an empty abandoned tent Environment features: small ruins, large ruins Mundane item: 4 sleeves of salami     We investigate an abandoned tent and find some salami. An ambush drake jumps out! We fight it! A pseudodragon jumps out, I calm it and feed it, but don’t befriend it.   That’s our 40 miles today (50/90 miles total). Morchella looks for a place to camp among some ruins. Morchella hunts, Lia cooks and pups the tent. Lia is an oddly good cook! Morchella claims it’s the excellent ingredients.   Long rest - Lia has a disturbing dream.   [We decide to switch to a morning check, afternoon check, and night watch.]   Next day: 10 gold/mundane item 9 multicolor/random event   They pass farmers harvesting crops… getting closer to civilization! They find some cabbages. Lia finds a small leather pouch with Powder Thistle in it! End of day three. 40 miles, so 90/90 miles - coming into town! Zriokots here we come! City of 17,000. Big trading center. Level up! They find an inn… The Bare Sow It’s empty but for the bartender and some locals, but named best pub several times! They put on our city clothes. For Morchella, that’s skinny jeans, and an oversized hoodie. They kick around the city. Elephant ears are had. Morchella has a nightmare (book)... same one Lia had! But it’s my dad! Long rest! Next morning plans: Go see Captain of the Guard, going to ask him to point them in the direction of caravan work, and ask them where to buy weapons.
