C2 Session 16 Surgeries and Spinal Cords

Last we left off the outsiders quickly looted the bodies of cultists spread among the aftermath of battle as rain dropped upon them from above. the guard was coming in quick to try and close off the area while the party snuck around using invisibility to steal a head from one of the corpses. after sneaking away, the party had Cresie use her ability to speak with the dead to ask it 5 questions. She asked it where the cultists were from among other things, learning that they were in Wellspring. The party then placed the head in a jar and left it in the library. With that out of the way, the party looked further into getting the cancer cured. In the dead of night they went to Arty's Brewery, with Arty having brought in his contacts. The pair introduced themselves as Forsythia and Rhodri Mythralight. Cal explained her situation and Forsythia was willing to help in exchange for their blood. each of the party members gave their blood, and a few drank Forsythia's blood as well. Forsythia performed the operation but in the process stole 2 discs from Cal's spinal column and drank a bit of her blood, and cast a spell which caused icy crystalline plants to grow over the entire room. She then began to walk away. The party chased as Cal ran forward and did a show flying straight up into the air, but didn't consider how to get back down to the ground as she fell and was knocked unconscious upon hitting the ground nearly breaking her legs. Forsythia then picked up Cal and began to walk away with her slung over her shoulder. Coolio used suggestion on Forsythia but the suggestion did not have the effect he hoped for while Rhodri continued to block the path. Coolio then pulled a risky maneauver and dropped the spell for an instant before casting it again with another instruction, this time producing the desired effect as she began to walk away without Cal. Cresie pulled another risky move and attacked Rhodri, managing to get a good hit in which impressed him enough to let the party live. The party gathered Cal and left, but Forsythia still had the spinal cords so Kipp snuck in and retrieved them, along with a large red ruby gemstone for themself.
