Session 6: A letter and a Bag of Rogues Report

The party gathers together in Gallows Rock to gather news and establish a plan for how to deal with the village.

Ivan Valentine joins the party

Octavius leaves the party to go oversee the village, defend it, and make sure its profitable.

Party goes southwest and fights Ambrose the Iron at Black Bones. He is a spirit that coalesces of rock, soil, and burnt bones that comes together. Around the monument stands eight pillars dedicated to the strongest warriors who died at his hands and were burned for the ancestors.

Ivan is the first to fight him, and does well to begin with. After a while, however, he loses energy and is caught off guard by the lumbering form of stone and soil. Knocked from the dueling circle, the party was given the option to send forth another warrior or to forsake Ivan. The Masked Master stepped forward and accepted the challenge where Ivan had failed. He managed to dance nimbly around Ambrose, and struck him many times with his sword. Ambrose was strong and grabbed the Masked Master upon his shoulder and nearly shattered it, but as he was held up, the Masked Master stabbed forward with his sword and dealt the final blow to Ambrose.

After the battle the Masked Master received a blessing from Ambrose for having defeated him.

Once the battle had concluded it came time for the party to continue its exploration. They move southwest until they reach the tributary river from which Lake Ambrose is filled. Marquarius explores forward beyond the sight of the rest of the party, but is found by one of the sentries. He barely managed to escape with his life after calling out to his comrades, heedless of his safety, and being struck on the back of the neck.

They run into a group of academics and explorers from Sutan, they tell them about the rivers and other places to the west. Nasir the Librarian

They continue east and eventually reach Gallows Rock once more, where they are paid and tell Koldo of Liera of their accomplishments.
