General Summary

Benn woke up from his coma with a new Warlock Hexblade patron. Lady Iria invited the party to an audience, where she exposes the dwarf Torsten Balderk, who had been part of the caravan they had escorted during the last session as a silkworm smuggler.   Lady Iria's captain of the guard, Theuris Strongarm, objects, and later demands that the characters help Torsten, as they were responsible for his imprisonment and he will now likely be hung by the vengeful House Avis. Rhyn headbutts him.   Akin has yet another contentious episode with Abzuroth as the deity tries to force him to kill Iria. Benn disguises himself and goes to the cells to speak to Torsten, but discovers a sick elf in the next cell.   Benn goes into town, where he buys a new shield and gives his elven chainmail to Silas.   The party convinces Iria to leave the elf in her prison to them, to which she agrees. They pull him out, although he is barely able to walk on his own. Torsten pleads with them to send a message to his cousins, who have a mining facility outside of town and should be able to pay off House Avis to not kill him. Torsten gives Benn a medallion of his house.   At the Dancing Dolphin, Akin is able to heal the elf of a fever that had weakened him, and he begins to become more cogent. The elf introduces himself as Aderlain, a Twilight Elf who only recently arrived on Aeryth. He explains that the journey between realms has significantly weakened him, and that he has no concept of personal property, which led to the misunderstanding that got him arrested.   Aderlain said he was part of a party of elves who had been sent to Aeryth to gather information about events that they had learned about in the Twilight Lands. He says that the barriers that had been erected by the Aia to prevent magic from seeping back into the world appear to be falling, along with the barriers between the realms themselves. As a result, Aderlain fears that Aeryth is about to face an invasion from creatures from the demon realms. His original goal had been to learn what he could in Aeryth before returning to the Twilight Realm, but the ship he used to travel between realms had been destroyed upon his arrival, killing everyone else in his group. He hopes to still be able to complete his quest if he can find a way to send a message back to the Twilight Realms, or even return.   The party is then attacked by three of the piscine hybrid creatures that seem to work for Abzuroth, whom they ultimately defeat in front of most of the guests of the inn.
