Session 35: Hollow’s Gate

General Summary

In the aftermath of the events concerning Yira Inkstep, the party returned to the village of Hollow, wondering about what to do next. Further questioning of Poggle Huffleprong and his brother Hoggle by Dac Earreac revealed that they had familiarity with a tribe of Aarakocra — likely clan Clan Qaruta. This might be part of the reason for Dac’s connection to the fey and to Naltyr.

Darla Daleclover implored that the outsiders have their memories of Hollow erased via a memory charm. Rayla Moonshadow vouched for them pushing this decision off for as long as they could.

Rayla invited the party to stay the night in Hollow, and they slept under the enchanted stars in the meadow outside the village. During the night, Dac dreamed seeing to figures approaching the forest outside the Fey Gate. These figures were Rayla and her friend Willow Meadowstride. Willow was holding an object of power, in front of the Fey Gate. Dac had suspicions that this could be The Seed of the First Oak. In the morning, Dac told Rayla about this and the party decided to visit Willow’s old house.

They did and upon investigating, found that Willow was interested in many different objects of power. Rayla relived a memory with her and Willow, confronting the reality that she may not have known his true intentions. Rayla, frustrated with her friend’s deception ate one of his hallucienogenic mushrooms.
