Session 5: Seeing birds and wolves

General Summary

After a long rest in the tavern, the morning was closing in on everyone. Everyone was getting ready to get some breakfast, after all, we couldn't stay any longer in the village. It was the day that the party needed to leave with the caravan. To bring it to its destination safe en well, we again asked the heads of the procession if it wasn't a problem that the two new members of the party would help us protect the caravan to its final destination.   After everything was setup en everyone was done with getting ready, we started our journey to our destined location. You could very quickly see that the roads we were crossing haven't been maintained for a long time. We couldn't complain. The terrain was maybe less appealing for some of us, but the view to the sea was enjoyable.   after a few hours of rocky en mountainous terrain a Dragonborn with a sharp hearing started to hear some sounds coming from a distance the sounds where coming closer and closer, until something flew over our heads. And the instance we turned our heads to look at what it was, it appeared to be a giant flying bird. It flew to the backside of the caravan where the food was located and with its beak it started to make little holes into the tent of the trailer. It tried to snap the food out of the caravan to eat it.After we were aware of what its intention were we couldn't let it happen. So we started to attack, arrows flew by, spears were thrown at it. with a natural foe to defeat again, the Dragonborn en the dwarf got pretty good strikes on that beast. You could see spells flying by and more armament being thrown at it, for a moment it appeared as if that creature just wasn't ready to die. Two members protecting the caravan got downed by the beast, but thanks to the cleric in our party, they got helped. Later the dragonborn healed the human that got floored by the creature, but an excellent strike ended the beast life. After that we skinned its body for examination and meat as our friendly naga likes to try every type of creature that is out there. After that we checked the caravan, asked around if everyone was okay and if things needed to be repaired. After everything was settled we went on with the caravan. But now it was our cleric with a sharp sense that spotted a group of wolfs was nearby. They started to attack and we tried to protect the caravan from these animals. We gave everything we had and we succeeded in trapping the wolves, so we could hit them with more ease. A wolf got burned here and there, another one got stabbed to death and the last one was, well he was nothing more than just mush.
