Session 30: I fucked up

General Summary

Skrik’s Scribbles

Dear oh dear.
I fucked up. So, as we returned from our quest, we decided to go our own ways in the town. I knew that Duldar was looking for Diamonds, so naturally I decided to go and get them for him.   Turns out, to talk to the thieves guild, you have to go and bribe your way into the city. Because money talks for dwarves. My esteem for the race is dwindling by the day, but at least some of them are nice.   I eventually managed to meet some of these nicer dwarves, and they pointed me to the nearest location of diamonds. In return they wanted a few papers involving the highborn dwarf with illegitimate affairs of state. I felt it no less than logical that they would expect something in return. Unfortunately, they failed to mention to me that runic barriers, alarm spells and guards were all there. So I got caught. Figured I’d spend a few days in the cell, but instead, they told me 40 weeks. They also took my money, and all my stuff. Because that’s what Dwarves do.Thankfully, Duldar found me, and they told me they’d come for me. I tried my hardest to break out, but without my tools, everything was trickier than I had hoped. I managed to obtain some keys, and sneak about a while, but they kept catching me.   With time running out, I heard Janey cry out my name, and well… She broke me out. So now I’m responsible for losing her scarf, making her commit a crime, not getting Duldar his diamond, and on top of that, Valstrax got my things back (by claiming I stole them, which of course the dwarves believed.)   I love I have friends. I hate I forced them into this situation. We’re off to fight some underdark drow soon. I hope I’ll prove my worth to them then…
