Session 37: Skriks Scribbles Lundyn

General Summary

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit And the vermin of the world inhabit it And it's morals aren't worth what a pig can spit And it goes by the name of Lundyn At the top of the hole sit a privileged few Making mock of the vermin in the lower zoo Turning beauty to filth and greed I too have sailed the world and seen its wonders For the cruelty of men is as wondrous as a grue But there's no place like Lundyn   So, here we are, at Lundyn, filled with hopes and dreams. Well, let’s scratch those, and go back to square racism. We’ve got plenty of stuff to research. So, planning is in order.   Our research projects, and the designated researchers/conductors, are as follows.   -Spelljammer Helm, how does it work and can we apply it to roadside vehicles as well as flying vehicles. Janey and Duldar
-The Arzhurian Legends need to be delivered. Janey and Valstrax
-Flail Snails: Are their shells worth creating armor out of? Skrik and Duldar
-Dragon scales: Can we make something out of this? Skrik and Duldar
-White Ape properties: Can we make use of the anti magical disease? Skrik and Janey
-The Boros Legion: What were they? How is Valstrax connected? Janey. (and Valstrax in spirit)
-Guns: Duldar.
-Caravan Expansion: Valstrax
-New animals to wild shape into: Voron
-Skrik information (the underground lair, not Skrik himself) Skrik and Janey, though unlikely at the Lundyn Library.
-Thieves guild: Skrik.
-Small quests: All of us
-Omacaryn reports: Group
-The Arcane: Janey
-Sturdier horses: A studies of pack animals: Skrik and Voron
-Mechanical Carts: Duldar and Janey
-Refitting Armor: Valstrax and Duldar
-Fixing the wagon and locating a place to stay: Spencer
...Let’s go RESEARCH!... But… The guard at the gate needs elbow greasing, because we’re adventurers, and I’m a rat. So you know, he needs money to let us in, because heavens to betsy it’d be cruel to let a person actually into a town without extorting them. Good first impression.   So, we kindly ask for the library, and guild hall so we can go tell the guild we’re there and then RESEARCH!... Except people call us monsters, and demon spawn. Great second impression. This city is so lovely.   So, eventually, we make it to the guild hall, where we’re at least welcomed somewhat, given some information, and manage to obtain a bunch of small quests.   The quests are as follows:
A farm needs a hand. Valstrax and Skrik will get on it. The job, not the farm.
A special marsh rose needs to be collected, as well as an elephant guided home. Voron and Janey will get on this quest. Because Janey never forgets like Elephants, and Voron could talk to elephants. And Janey. Also, girls love flowers, and Voron can grow them.
A brother needs to be scared by a ghost. Skrik and Duldar are terrifying enough.
Horses need to be retrieved. Strong men like Duldar and Valstrax will carry the horses.
Kill orcs. Well, we all are going to do this. Tomorrow.
  So, planning is as follows:
Today
Get to the library and do some basic investigation on where we could find the appropriate books, and their vermin policies, also looking for a historian to show off to. - Skrik and Janey.
Refit the armor to commit historical genocide: Duldar and Valstrax.
Visit the Park to find the Circus (Not join it): Voron.
Sleep in the fanciest Inn in town.
Talk to Spencer about staying.
We end up getting plenty of forms to fill in, and essays to write. Which Janey and I diligently begin on. Janey also makes an appointment with the Historian Society, and Duldar is very successful at creating the new armor for Valstrax (so proud!). Voron sadly had no circus to visit, but he will search for new animals in the woods nearby when he can do quests.   In the evening, we speak with Spencer, who found us a cottage and a mansion. We decide on the mansion, and offer him a permanent job as our coach driver, with a wagon for his wife and kids. He will consider it. We wish him well, and hope to see him again. Janey writes the essay concerning draught animals, with Voron’s words, and a little assistance from me.   After this, we go to the fanciest Inn, where Valstrax gets a massage with a happy ending, Janey gets explained what a happy ending means, I get soft cheeses, and Voron gets to stroll in the gardens. Duldar just has lots of food and alcohol, and a good bath.   Tomorrow:
Speak with possible representatives of Smith, Circus or Historian society
Contact with an Omacaryn
Kill lots of Orcs.
Have Pulled Orc Sandwiches for dinner.
No luck on the Circus, and the smith was already successful. The Historian society is met by Valstrax and Janey, whilst I continue working on the different essays. After this, Duldar and Valstrax meet with Omacaryn, and have an owlbear cloak made, as well as deliver the information that we have done what the Godfather has asked us to do. He shall contact us with offers we cannot refuse later.   (The journal ends here, but it seems more is coming...later.)
