Session 29: Skrik’s scribbles

General Summary

So, here we go. Through the hole, into the dark, and off we go. This adventure has been wonderful. Caves, excitement, King Duldar (he doesn’t want to be, but he is to me!) and lots of good deeds that we are doing. After we killed all the troglodytes, we decide to go deeper into their cave. Mostly to figure out what is in there, and eventually, we find that they all died, and we’re outside.   We observe something out in the wild, but we can’t quite make it out. Voron tries to climb a tree, but the tree does not cooperate. So mister Valstrax climbs the trees while I look at the creature. It’s something airborne. It’s out there. It’s big, and it’s definitely hunting or doing something near the lake. I think we can take it, but mister Valstrax thinks we can’t. Who am I to disagree with him. So, we decide to go and stealthily sneak past it. Sadly, my concept of sneaking and that of our group is not entirely the same, and eventually we are spotted by the creature.   It’s a black dragon! Like in the sexy book Janey bought for her personal collection! With princesses and treasures. The book didn’t mention they also are deadly. It nearly killed Janey AND mister Voron. Thank heavens I’m an invisible rat, or I would’ve been on its menu for sure. With some kind of secret rope-home, and a lot of us trying to kill the dragon, we eventually manage to drive it off. I still think we could’ve taken it, but scaring it away is something too.   Discretion is the better part of valor, and we move onwards. As we travel back to Donner keep, to send word to mister Elboros about the dwarf keep, as well as find new work, scribe new magic and whatever things we want to do, we find ourselves in the company of a group of orcs. Seeing as they are evil, dark creatures that deserve only death (mister Duldar taught me!), we quickly take care of them, and prop them up with our very own new symbol of a cauldron! Of course we collect the meat for dinner as well.   After we continue our journey, we find some naked ladies who sing with wings. They are not bothering us much, and the group decision is to leave them be if they leave us. One of them decides to attack us, and dies. The rest quickly think better of it, and we’re left with a “Harpy ham”... Tastes like human really.   It takes a bit longer to reach our final destination, but we’re now here at Donner keep, where we’ll try to find a good set of quests to do, and get paid, as well as get our own projects going. The future is looking bright for us!
