A story about the Silphs who had fallen victim to the Windego after the flood had broken out and ripped the roots of the Corrager mountains up and into the sky. One community was found completely abandoned, a journal left behind tells the story. The villagers were unable to escape the section of rock which their homes were built upon. Forcing the onset of an early winter. Many settlers froze to death while others were significantly weakened by famine. At the end of the account, the author describes how one by one, different individuals began disappearing from the community. By the end, the author begins to describe their own intense, continuous hunger and craving, which expanding from simply food and flesh towards wanting to devour the sun itself.
