Session 15: Deeper into the Tomb Report

General Summary

Date: Unknown   Main Quest Line:   After defeating the fire elemental the group takes a moment. Ellion puts out Beth's flames, fixing her outfit, and giving her a health potion.   Marin notes the opening of the side door to the room with a water symbol overhead and checks it, seeing it is identical to the fire room. Marin making a few comments to break Flynn.   Perrin gets of Stepper and trots into the next room, the group following quickly behind.   The door closes once everyone is inside, and a water elemental rises out of the center spout of the room.   Combat ensues.   David's gun backfires and is taken out of commission.   Flynn's powers backfire a few times, causing a burst of energy, Marin to turn invisible, and Flynn teleport across the room.   Ellion has a few bad throws, unable to chuck a potion at the water elemental, so they kick it over to Tof to use.   Beth uses some clever electric magic, however hurting a few companions while doing damage to the elemental.   Marin turns into a giant octopus, uses her ink to obscure the elementals vision, and makes him edgy in the process.   Tof uses his guns, successfully doing a flip this time, and throws a fire potion into the elemental.   Perrin takes the front on stepper, taking most of the hits, and assisting Missy.   Missy a bit more brave makes multiple hits to the center spout, she is downed momentarily before Perrin brings her back up. With renewed energy she takes a final swing and bends the spout backwards. The elemental falls and returns down the drain.   End of combat.   A door opens in the room, leading deeper into the cave system. The group leaves the water room, the door closing behind them, and they decide to make camp. Flynn apologizes for the damage he caused before resting up, and Perrin writes down what has occurred so far while the Copperpots make tea and snacks.   Beth wanders off seeing the path goes on for a long time, making her return she sees a wall that Perrin produced. Ellion's head hovering above it before he walks through it relieved to see Beth again. Ellion never seeing the wall themself.   After resting for an unknown length in time the group starts moving again down the winding path. Time drags on, the group unsure how long they have been walking for, eventually coming across some written cravings in the stone walls.   Marin can read these texts as they are in Primordial, and Perrin comprehends language to follow along as well.   The writing at first is very conversational. Some curly, thin text writes 'hello brother how have you been?' More jagged and thick text responds 'hello sister I am well'. This light tone continues as conversation goes on about how the seas are and how the mountains are growing, the topics seem to be surrounding the early period of the planet as it is being formed. Since Water and Fire and often divided by land and sea this cave seems like a place they could leave messages for one another. As the group walks the tone of the conversation shifts. A message from Water says 'how could you pit these humans against one another for your own gain?', Fire responds 'it must be done to give power to the rightful rulers'. These messages from the progression seem to have occurred during the great war in the year 100. A few lines later the normal curves of Water's message are no longer gentle, they are tugged deep in the stone rage radiating off of the words as it says 'you have condemned so many to die, they will forever fell Ahovz wrath for what you have done, and now you will have my wrath for your defilement of life'. After that there are many messages from Fire trying to defend their actions, trying to get their sister to reply, then he writes 'i hope you are happy that the air immortal is my downfall, i have agreed to appease you'. Water finally responds, once again in gentle writing 'thank you'. The messages after this seem tense but more conversational, a check in here and there. But then the messages stop, the last thing written by Water is 'I have not forgiven your actions, but I do not hate you, please leave me to my domain and I will leave you to yours', Fire then responds 'I understand sister, but understand this, I will continue to do what I must to have the things I deserve, even if it means going against you. Do stay out of my way if you can.' The walls are bare from this point on, and the passage of time continues, no one quite sure how far or how long they have traveled. There is a weariness in the group, but also no one is tired enough to rest. The occasional light chatter slowly dies down, and the group trudges in silence.   The long passageway is interrupted by an archway, the left side has running water, curling and twirling along the edge in a simple design, the right side done in fire a similar design but with sharp edges and less precision. Above the archway in large text it says 'Offerings to the Siblings. Not forgotten, but placed away for safe keeping." Through the archway it appears to be another long hallway, but stepping through it reveals the treasures behind. Marin stepping through the archway first sees two message on the inside of the arch. The one on the left in distinct Water handwriting says 'you have traveled far, enjoy your rewards. Take what you will without persecution from me.' The right side in Fire's jagged script states 'take sparingly from me, or there may be persecution'.   Inside this offerings room there is an overflow of items. On Fire's side there is: coal, fire, fireflies, armor, weapons, sacrificed animals, and gold, lots of gold. On Water's side there is: water, stones, flowers, statues, music, written notes, living fish swimming in a wall of water, and silver, lots of silver.   Perrin takes a fire ring. Marin goes to take a chipped stone, but puts it back not feeling it is right to take offerings from others. Bush Lee gobbles up some gold coins, his gold meter increasing to 15 (only Perrin can see this).   Flynn attempts to poke items on both sides, water giving him a shock and fire giving him a burn. Flynn then decides to carefully stand in the center of the room.   Missy touches a single silver coin, gags and refuses to touch anything else.   David stands back not taking anything along with Ellion.   Aaron and Phil go about looking at items, recording them in books, occasionally taking something here and there.   Beth taps a silver coin with her foot and nothing happens. Beth then attempts to write a note and slip it into the water side, but it is sent back into the center of the room.   Tof picks up a gold coin and hears the prayer of the person who sent the coin. The same with anything he touches, he can hear all of the prayers at once, and it starts to make him very nauseous. Tof has Perrin help him get gold, he scoops up gold with this assistance but is still overwhelmed with the prayers and throws up. Still collects a lot of gold.   Perrin writes a note of thanks to water sending it over there. In his pocket appears a smooth stone and a silver coin with Tof unsuccessfully tries to steal.   Perrin also tosses a note onto Erif's side, it burning up before hit the pile.    Marin also writes thank you notes, the one sent to Water gifting her a silver coin, and the one sent to Fire burning up before it touched the offerings.   At the end of this pathway is another archway that cannot be seen through. Over top the archway Marin can read 'the most precious offerings, sent in moments of great need. Stored for safe keeping, but not forgotten.'   Entering into this room it is a simple circular room. Across the way is another arch with no way to see through it. In the center is a raised platform and two pedestals one with a blood red dagger the other with a light blue dagger.   The group looks around the room, some walk up the platform to look closer at the daggers. Nothing is written on the pedestals and the room is bare otherwise.   Beth takes the blue dagger in hand. Her head thrown back and blue light pouring out of her eyes and mouth.   To be continued.
