Session 14: The Brother and Sister's Tomb Report

General Summary

Date: The Month of Starz 20th, 997 (Tuesday).   Things to note:  

It is Naomi's Birthday; she is turning 21.

  Main Quest Line:   After school ends for the day the group goes to the inn. Perrin speaks with the Ahovz messenger. Marin and Tof sat at tables facing away from the encounter and could not hear what was discussed. Beth from the stage playing her fiddle could see the encounter, but also not hear it, realizing that there was some sort of sound barrier.   Perrin speaks to the messenger, sensing a celestial energy in the area. The Messenger places 10 platinum coins on the table after Perrin tells about how the Brothers were in town and then left. The messenger asks a series of questions, after each question placing another platinum coin down.   The messenger asked if anyone of interest talked to the brothers, if Perrin suspected an foul play, if he told the whole truth, along with other questions. Even diverging from the conversation of the brothers to mention other divine interference in the town of late, Perrin mentioning Starz presence. Perrin asked the messenger what the importance of the Brothers were because it seemed like a lot of effort to find two followers. The Messenger responded that such efforts would be done for any follower that cannot be found by Ahovz.   At the end of the conversation Perrin had 17 platinum coins, Beth saw this.   The group went around town telling people they would be away, buying some new items, and preparing in general for their trip. All stopped by the merchants on the outskirts of town, purchasing some sandwich swords and scarf daggers.   Perrin drinks a shiny gold potion he had received, and for two weeks can see how much gold a person is carrying. It is displayed above their head, and he can see his own by looking in a mirror.   Date: The Month of Starz 21st, 997 (Wednesday).   The group gathered at the plane, Beth bringing along Bush Lee in a bucket of dirt.   Perrin noted the following Gold counts:

    Before take off Marcus jogs up and gives his cowboy hat to Marin. Telling her it was given to him by Earth and he wouldn't be here today with out it, and Marin should take it and bring it back to him.   Perrin downs a potion to help with his flying anxiety.   Once in the air Flynn turns to ask how fast the group wants to get to their destination. All say the faster the better. He apologizes before his green eye starts to glow and the plane is engulfed in green energy, where it quickly teleports from the skies over Little Town to the sea. Beth having never teleported before throws up, along with Missy and the Copperpots.     Marin spots a pair of rock formations that appear to look like eyes with a shining stone in the center on the edge of the land.   The stone is polished smooth, no noticeable seams. There are two carved handprints too far to be reached by one person, the one on the left appears more feminine and the one on the right more masculine.   Flynn touches the right one and gets blow back, his hand singed. He says maybe the stone just didn't like him, and doesn't explain more.   Perrin touches the right one next and gets hit twice as hard compared to Flynn. Tof also attempts it, getting blow back just as hard.   Missy touches the left one and nothing happens, Ellion tries both the left doing nothing the right blowing back their hand. They return to the left and see their hand heals.   Beth also tries, not feeling anything on the left side. Marin notes that touching the left one for her gives a tingling sense over their arm. Tof also touches it and his damage is healed.     Marin suggests holding hands to complete a link. Marin stands on the right and Tof on the left. Tof after linking feels more fit than he ever has. Marin goes through excruciating pain, falling unconscious momentarily, seeing her deity Earth who says 'what are you doing here?' She regains consciousness knowing that she had just died. The flowers in her hair wilted and fell out of her hair.   The stone splits open. The group considers resting, David pushing to get a full rest so Marin can recuperate. During this time Marin writes two letters giving them to David to hold onto. Perrin also during the rest feels good about horses and summons Stepper.   Descending down the stairs Ellion takes the lead, a light appearing in the walls as they go down.     The first room they enter has a waterfall on the right side, and a raging fire on the left. Both engulfing the entire walls, the room is deafening. Perrin and Marin both hear through the noise noting that there are passageways behind the walls. The group however goes through a center door with a symbol of water and fire intertwining. They enter into a labyrinth trying to follow the left wall to get to the end. However they lose track of their place and head back before reaching the end.     Marin tries to douse the fire wall to get through, but is unsuccessful. Flynn however has the group line up and he blasts the water wall away with wind. He jumps in after. Marin asks if he is a druid, and he says 'nope, definitely not that'.     Going down this new passage they enter into a new room. Two doors are present, the left with a fire symbol over it, the left with a water symbol. David cries to dear lord not to split the party due to his own past party tragedies.   Entering into the fire room first, the door closes behind them once everyone is inside. Inside there is a door across the room, and there is a side door with a water symbol over it.A spout in the center of the room opens, releasing a fire elemental.   Combat ensues.   Missy, unfortunately only with a hammer, gets frightened by the flames and retreats.   The Copperpots stand back holding Bush Lee away from the Flames.   David uses his shotgun.   Ellion uses tiny knives.   Perrin his rapier.   Marin her magic weapon.   Beth her magic. For her magic the fire elemental retaliated against her and caught her on fire.   Flynn excitedly following Beth's lead casting the same spell.   Tof takes the final hit, doing a backflip in the process and hitting the ground hard.   After the last shot the fire elemental still seems to be in good condition, but the spout closes underneath it extinguishing the flames.     Ellion douses Beth with a potion, extinguishing the flames.     The side door to the water room opens.       To be continued.
