Season 2 Session 2: Quests Abound Report
General Summary
Date: 9th Day of the Month of Ahovz, 997 A.C. (Monday) It's the following Monday after the party was grouped together by David. The anniversary of Paul Willow's death came and went; many of the older members in town wore black armbands and Annie spent the day alone in the graveyard with Sherriff Marcus watching over her. Pip spent the week learning. Arizona spent the week fishing. Teth spent the week honing medical stills. David sent word to the party that he would pay an additional gold to each member for each mission completed. HUNTING TRIP mission accepted - Pip is less than excited. (30) A female adventurer approached Arizona and asked if he would buy her a drink. His reply "uh no". Arizona suggested the group get a tranquilizer from Ellion. Teth buys a mixed potion meant to attract a feline fowl. Arizona buys a random potion that is opaque pink. (69) Missy Clark Jr. runs up to Pip and asks the group if she can join them on their quest. The party agrees. (17) A nervous adventurer approaches Teth. Three other adventurers are snickering at the man. He is about to speak when he says "nope" and runs off. Teth conjures an image of the adventurers if they were dead and scares them off. The party is about to leave when Pip says he has to run home quickly. After 20 minutes, Teth goes to check on him. He says he needs 40 more minutes before they can leave. Pip returns with a small silver wyrmling in his jacket. The party travels a half day to the Quiet Woods and meet with Ti Renaldo who posted the quest. The next morning (Tuesday, 10th) the party travels into the woods. Arizona hears some twigs break and finds Steven gutting a deer (to Pip's horror). Steven points them about a mile north saying he saw a cream colored feather. They continue through the woods and Missy notices a tail moving. She tries to sneak up and sees the creature. It jumps and begins to attack her face. Teth gets the animal off Missy and Pip begins talking to it. Missy takes back the creature and breaks its neck. They return the creature to Ti and receive their payment (75 gold). They return to town. Mary comes out with some books and approaches the party. She offers the books to Pip and he hugs her legs still mourning the death of the feline fowl. He informs Mary of what happened and she leaves to tell Missy's father. Arizona and Pip go to the bar and get some shots from Brian, and then get a Naomi's special from Naomi. Teth enters and Poppy jumps to gossip together. Teth tells of the feline fowl, and Poppy knows it is from Advig. Poppy then tells of a letter David got from his sister who is coming to visit. Arizona and Pip leave the bar. (74) Reverend Iliad comes running out of the church and approaches Pip. He asks if there is a message he wishes to tell the deities. Pip tells him "I'm doing my best" and asks it to be sent to Asharot, which the Reverend translates as Ahovz before running off. Teth makes an apology salad and brings it to Pip's home in the suburbs. While there Pip tells Teth that the dragon's name is Syrax. The next day (Wednesday, 11th) the party agrees to complete the SALT WATER CONCERN quest from Sherriff Marcus. The party travels upstream and finds a carriage with salt bags knocked over the stream. Pip sends Syrax to look around and find Molly behind a bush. Molly refuses to tell the party anything stating she was just hanging out in the area. The party rights the carriage and Molly leaves after Pip dropped water on her. The group decides to try to figure out who the perpetrators are nd inform Marcus of the circumstances. He sends Don out to assist. On Thursday (the 12th) a kenku, goblin, and elven woman come up. Teth disguises herself as Molly and the three adventurers say they have to knock the carriage over again. Don stands with his pistol drawn and says "stop in the name of the law." Arizona shoots the eleven woman in the leg and she drops. The goblin and kenku surrender. The three adventurers are placed in the sheriff's office cell. Pip asks the elven woman why she did what she did. She refuses, but Pip charms her. She says she and Marcus went on a date once and he did not recognize her. She was salty, and she knew he bathed in the lake so now he was salty as well. Pip pulls Marcus to the side and tells him what had happened. The party receives their 5 gold and Marcus says he owes each of them a favor. To be continued...
